Good Tix are cheaper Event Cinema Movie Vouchers that can save movie-goers up to 40% off a standard movie screening.

Each ticket also contains a 50% donation to a cause of your choice, made by good.film on the buyer's behalf, with no extra cost to the buyer.

Adult ticket prices at Event, BCC, Greater Union or select Village Cinemas vary depending on location, but cost up to $26 when purchased in cinema. Good Tix are set at a fixed price of $16.

Use your Good Tix in person at Event, BCC, Greater Union or select Village Cinemas box offices, or book your movie tickets online by entering your Good Tix voucher number at eventcinemas.com.au or villagecinemas.com.au

You can redeem Good Tix for any Original session at Event, BCC, Greater Union or select Village Cinemas (this excludes Gold Class, Premium Seating concepts, 4DX and other special event screenings*). A surcharge applies to upgrade to V-Max or 3D screenings. For full T&Cs see below or contact your local Event, BCC, Greater Union or select Village Cinemas box office.

This eVoucher will expire on the date indicated. This eVoucher entitles the holder to 1 x Adult or Student admission to any Original session at Event, BCC, Greater Union or select Village Cinemas. Not valid for use at Moonlight Cinemas or Skyline Drive In. Not valid for use in ACT.

This eVoucher cannot be redeemed for Gold Class, Premium Seating concepts, 4DX, Boutique, Event Junior, Movie Marathons, Chicks At The Flicks, group bookings or any sessions classified as festivals, alternate content or special events including but not limited to foreign films. Use your admission barcode to book online at www.eventcinemas.com.au or www.villagecinemas.com.au (booking fees apply), or present your admission vouchers in cinema. Surcharges apply to upgrade to V-Max or 3D screenings and must be paid at the time of redeeming the eVoucher. 3D glasses sold separately.

Seating is subject to availability. The onus is on the holder to use the eVoucher on or before the specified expiry date. eVouchers will not be extended, replaced or exchanged and are invalid without an expiry date.     Are there any hidden charges with this? I purchased two tickets to Event through Entertainment Book, and got stung fees that made it about the same price as buying a normal ticket

      Hi BatmanAU,

      We don't have any hidden charges with Good Tix for any regular screening. Booking fees still apply when booking online, and V-Max and 3D screenings there are surcharges - but it will be cheaper than a standard adult ticket.

      At this stage we dont have Paypal as an option. We have credit card, ApplePay and AndroidPay.

        1) Student Edge - $12.50 Monday to Thursday (Note you don't need to be a student to join)
        2) Foxtel Rewards - $12.50 everyday of the week (not after 5pm Saturdays)
        3) Blacktown City Council Green Money Rewards - $10pp movie pass (for 2) for 150 points (30 day expiry) Valid at Blacktown only
        4) Hoyts Rewards - Movie Of the Week ($11.00)
        5) Hoyts Rewards - When you get you to 7,000 Points (standard) and 8,000 (for XS session)
        6) Hoyts Gift cards - when they go on special for 10 - 15% off in combination to the above purchasing methods.
        7) Telstra Rewards - have $13.50 (I think) but for Event (I'm no longer a Telstra customer)
        8) NRMA have cheap tickets (I'm not a member, so only know what Google tells me)
        9) Some health funds have cheap tickets - Bupa, Medibank, HBF

        PS - I have 2 Hoyts complexes near me (Mt Druitt and Blacktown) that I normally go to. I see something like 25 movies a year.
        PSS - I usually go to the movies Monday to Friday during the day.
        PSSS - I already donate to charities of my own choice.

      Yes there are places with different offers, some of which are cheaper. Probably main benefits for Good Tix vs others:
      1. Good Tix can be used at any time - so peak times like Friday and Saturday nights are ok with Good Tix.
      2. Each ticket also contains a 50% donation to a cause of your choice, made by good.film on the buyer's behalf, with no extra cost to the buyer.

    Booked just now using the vouchers, VMAX surcharge for reclining seats was $10 each. Plus booking fee. So total $26 each + $3 booking fee.

      For VMAX and extras like recliners they are an additional surcharge on top of the ticket price. I just checked Dune 2 Tue 5 Mar, 7:20 PM at Castle Towers in VMAX with a recliner and that's $36.65 inc booking fee, so theres still a substantial saving on tickets.

    Would you be open to adding other cinemas to the mix? Reading cinemas is cheaper than Event, and Houts allows acquiring Qantas points on purchases.

      Yes we are planning to get other cinemas on board. Currently we have tickets for Dendy available: https://good.film/goodtix/dendy, we are looking to add other cinemas in the future, although don't currently have an ETA.
