Seems their membership sales are not doing as well as expected…

    • +5

they do this every year dude. nothing new

      • Yes, sad isn't it…

        • +2

Well bulldogs aren't the most supported side so yeh they need a little help… Saints and Melbourne is same boat. But other bigger clubs like Geel, Carlton and hawks do similar promotions this time of year to spike membership sales since once the first few rounds come and go, membership (cashflow) sales is next to not existent. Gota strike while the irons hot my friend.

            @Gavman:

membership (cashflow) sales is next to not existent.

            not true

            • @jv: For the poorer clubs, very true… who buys bulldogs membership at Round 8? Or north Melbourne, when they siting on bottom of ladder.

              • @Gavman: Carlton membership spiked mid season last year.

            • @jv: they increase the kayo pricing this year so most mush have left

          • @Gavman: Hawthorn I think started doing this ages ago and might've been among the first to offer a 3 game membership

            • @4foxache:

Hawthorn I think started doing this ages ago

I think they were also the first to have memberships for pets and include them in the official membership numbers.

        • +1

I think that about every comment you make.

    • Good way to pump up your membership numbers I guess

    • +1

Actually they're up at this point in time compared to previous year :)

      • Hopefully they can translate that onto the field…

  • I click add 3 games to cart and it adds the 6 games for $66 to cart instead.

    • It's adding 3 games for your partner…

    • +2

Same thing happened to me at first, Turns out the 3 for 33 is for new members…I must have done a previous deal in the past. Changed my email and got it to work

    • Yeah looks like they've messed up the url. Same url link as the 6 game pass

Bulldogs Pass - Discounted 12 month Kayo subscription, save $165"

Price ??? Showing $255 for me… Other clubs selling it for $250, so it cost more, not a $165 saving…

    • +1

That’s just a copy and paste from their website. I’m not interested in the Kayo aspect but people asked me about it when I posted the hawks deal so I added it so people know that they can check it out

      • -1

        It's definitely not a saving…

    • It's a $165 saving from $420 (the $35 plan for 12 months)

      • -5

        It's a $165 saving from $420

But it's not $420. The AFL Kayo packages are selling for $250 at other clubs.

        • The $250 at other clubs don’t include tickets to attend 9 home games. You are comparing different packages.

          • -1

            @Gonltruck:

Got mine last month for $232

Got mine last year for $15/month, but that doesn't help people now…

      • Not any more,, just checked and they selling for 250.. without any merchandise from their shop

        • still much cheaper than the doggies offer, but I don't want to be a giants member lol

    • Once you log into your existing account, it is not available.

      • Because it says for new members only…

  • back to Belmore matey

  • Cheap kayo might be tempting. Do all clubs have the kayo deal attached?

    • Yes.. all club have a digital offering with Kayo.. all roughly $220-300

      • Who has it for $220 ???

      • who?? link of those websites pls ?

How do you no we're going through a recession?

    This, this is the reason

    • The bulldogs and other clubs have done deals like this almost every year for years. It’s just a deal bro

      • Not if your club has a membership waitlist. And no this deep discounting is across the board now.

It used to be an affordable day with the family, now its not so much.

        • I wish it was across the board I’d snap up a Victorian swans deal in a second.

          • @Heinekenfc:

I’d snap up a Victorian swans deal in a second.

Nah, according to their CEO, they already have over 50,000,000 supporters, so they ain't no chance of a discount anytime soon…

            • @jv: This again? haha as I said yesterday the survey is most likely conducted for the benefit of potential team sponsors that’s why you often see big companies using Collingwood and Sydney colours in their commercials even though Collingwood has a way bigger active supporter base. Also sponsors love the swans because if the swans make the grandfinal and its not a blood bath like the one against Geelong we smash the ratings because of all those casual supporters. Our CEO just brings this up in the media because he knows it stirs people up and it gets them to stop complaining about our Academy for 30 seconds haha

              • +2

                @Heinekenfc:

we smash the ratings because of all those casual supporters.

not even close to the TV ratings of Collingwood games.

                • @jv: I'm not talking every TV game Im specifically talking about Grand Finals. Im pretty sure 2005 is still the highest rating, followed by 1996, 2006 after that and like 2014.

                  • @Heinekenfc:

Im pretty sure 2005 is still the highest rating

Ha ha… more 'made up' stats by the Swans…

By the way, tv audience suppporters…

                    • @jv: nah man you're comparing two different numbers and I’ll explain - your own link says regarding the 2023 grandfinal - AFL Grand Final: 3.75 million total viewers nationally with a peak of **4.98 million you don't count ratings by its peak because that is only for 15 minutes at a time. the link you provided about the 2005 grandfinal states It remains the highest-rating AFL game of all time (including 3.4 million metropolitan viewers) since the current OzTam measurement system was introduced in 2001. All told, a total average of 4.449 million people watched the game on TV nationally.[2][3] It is one of the most-watched television broadcasts in Australia since 2001, ranked 8th overall. Put another way, one in every 4.5 Australians watched the game live (22.25% of all Australians). so you should be comparing 2023 - 3.75 to 2005 4.4. Don’t you think the AFL would be making a bigger deal about it if they had just broken their record? Also its not a dig at Collingwood (I actually like Collingwood) the fact is most Collingwood supporters will watch every grand final (good on them for doing that ) Sydney people don’t so when the swans play thats why you get hundreds of thousands of more viewers. Also for the record the peak for the 2005 grand final was over 5 million – source https://www.theage.com.au/entertainment/ratings-20050929-ge0…

you can use https://12ft.io/ to get past the paywall
By the way, tv audience ≠ suppporters… I agree if youre talking crowds and things like that but I tell you what we’re a bloody important club when the AFL is looking for sponsors and signing a new tv deal.

                        @Heinekenfc:

not in terms of 'supporters' though…

we all know that is btish.

                        • @jv: man this survey has really annoyed you. unless someone else beats me to it i will post another SEN deal tomorrow, you can bring it up again in the comments but politely im not discussing the survey anymore. Anyway i hope round one is an entertaining game to watch, I'm looking forward to it.

                          • @Heinekenfc:

man this survey has really annoyed you.

                            which survey?

                            • @jv: https://www.roymorgan.com/findings/sydney-swans-are-the-most…

This is the Butterfly effect scenario im finding myself in. They release this survey/poll whatever you want to call it, no one cares accept probably sponsors, the season gets ready to start so the Swans Ceo uses it to stir the pot to generate attention, for some reason Collingwood fans take the bait and we end up here with comments like Nah, according to their CEO, they already have over 50,000,000 supporters, so they ain't no chance of a discount anytime soon… and now im discussing grandfinals. its all fun and games im just excited about the footy coming back

Swans Ceo uses it to stir the pot

And everyone laughs at him because of this nonsense.

                    • @jv:

Channel Seven’s (2016) Grand Final coverage reached more than 6.5 million combined in-home viewers across the day-long telecast. The siren-to-siren telecast peaked at 5.160 million viewers, which was the highest metropolitan audience for a Grand Final since 2006. In Sydney alone the audience peaked at 705,000.
                      https://www.footyindustry.com/afl/afl-tv-ratings/2016-afl-tv…

                      Also

Their 22-point win saw a combined metro and regional average of 4.089 million viewers on Channel 7 - the highest ratings in a decade.
It peaked at 5.160 million in the dying moments of the match.
                      Only three grand finals have out-rated it - the 1996 (North Melbourne/Sydney, 4.4 million), 2005 (Sydney/West Coast, 4.4 million) and 2006 (West Coast/Sydney, 4.15 million) deciders.

  • Anyone know how long it takes to be sent online Membership card and Social Club Card?

    • From email server to email server, approx. 0.35 seconds.

  • Do you still get a Bulldogs scarf with these memberships or is it only through the full membership?

    • +1

when i did it, it gave me the option to change my membership to a digital one and when they did they gave me $40 to go to the doggies store instead of $20

      • Did you get this straight away when you paid? I signed up last night but haven't received anything other than a payment receipt

        • It asked me all these questions when i was signing up and it was part of it.

    • -1

Do you still get a Bulldogs scarf

Are you into doggy style ?

Tuned into the station this morning while work was slow, so glad I did because I'd have missed out on this!

  • Is the Kayo package, the Basic (2 screens up to 4K) normall $35 per month?

    • Yes, so if you just want it for the AFL, it is cheaper to just pay month by month for Kayo and not get a membership.

  • Noob questions, I’m keen to take my 6yo to games this year. He’s a doggies fan.

    1. How much are tix normally?
    2. L3 decent seats?
    3. Does my 6yo enter free?

    Thanks

    • +2

      Hey mate

      1. GA adult is normally $27
      2. Personally i really like Marvel stadium so i don't mind sitting up in level 3.
      3. kids 6-14 are $5 -

I'd also add its worth considering checking out a VFL game its generally a pretty relaxed atmosphere, great chance to have a kick on the oval, there's normally a couple of AFL players playing and often you get the chance to head out onto the field at quarter time to hear the coach addressing the players. with that said I'm not sure if they let you go on the field at Whitten oval. I've taken my 6 year old a couple of time and it's been pretty fun.

      • Much appreciated! Ty kindly.

    • +1

      Does my 6yo enter free?

      No

Although they do have a month of free entry for kids around July or August…

Once you go Level 2 or Level 1 (depending what you want; view of whole ground or close to the action), Level 3 is a hard watch for me personally.

  • Fremantle Dockers are also doing a similar half price deal for half yearly memberships.
Just need to use the codeword "BANKWEST"

Not sure if it's worth its own post though.

    • Do you get Kayo with this?

      • I believe the $250 or so deal was one of the tick boxes. Just no complimentary kayo

  • +1

I’d watch them if I was paid $99

  • +1

Bulldogs deserve every penny. I would signup for $99.

Once a Bulldog is always a Bulldog.

    • The best days were of Chris Grant, Brad Johnson and Nathan Brown

  • -1

Garbage club that will then boast about their membership numbers when they basically give them away.

    • lol what?
