  • Velocity Points equivalent available here

  • What’s the minimum I can spend on interest? For example, can I pay back $4900 immediately and just pay interest on the $100 over 90 days?

    • that's suppose to be how it works if we check the privous post and the article.
I just applied mine, gonna pay back 4990 when it approved.

      • +1

I’ve done their personal loan in the past and was warned that $10 might be too low to for the minimum repayments.

      • There is like a minimum repayment of about $30 so you are best to leave at least 100 to be safe

        • So possibly $90 in interest? Plus $200 establishment fee

      • So we can pay back the bulk of it even before the points are credited ?

  • I was getting the terms as "an introductory rate of 6.9% pa will be applied on the initial amount transferred to your bank account for 5 years."
    Now I can't find it

  • Is there a minimum income requirement for this? what document do they ask for income verification?

  • +3

I don’t understand under what circumstances this offer is better than few Qantas points earnings credit cards out there unless of course you are not eligible for those cards or really in need of cash/loan. For example westpac Altitude Qantas is offering 80k points if you willing to spend 4K in 120 days , for $99(reducedto $49 for existing customers) plus $75 Qantas fee. If someone can throw more light please

    • +1

guess it's more for credit card churner who runing out of credit card to apply ;P

      • -1

Well there is a credit check for both so hardly matters. Also a correction for above , it’s actually 60+20k points. Even with 60k points it looks better

        • +4

It matters because I'm on the 12-month waiting period (or 18 for NAB) for all major Qantas-earning credit cards, so it's good to have an another choice available.

        • I think you misunderstood. It matters because there's a period of time before people can churn the same credit card again. Usually 12 months, sometimes 18 months

          • -1

@DevlicK: @cynix @DevlicK I already mentioned that in my comments (unless you not eligible for card). So that concurs with my understanding that it’s an option for when you are caught in between cc churning cycles

            • @belmakov: We're eligible for the cards, just not the bonus points :D

            • -1

@belmakov: Well if you want to be semantic about it, I say you misunderstood because you replied to @GY666 saying it hardly matters and your reason for saying so is because there is a credit check, which is not entirely correct.

        • Do you know if you get the full 80k if you are an existing westpac customer? NAB has the same setup where they break the points down but you get all full points if you apply via the NAB internet banking portal.

    • +1

I've churned through Westpac, NAB, ANZ, Bank of Melbourne in the last 12 months, hence looking at this… :)

  • i received velocity from this product before. Am I eligible for the qantas offer again?

  • What's the minimum credit limit for this product?

Also does anyone know what hit they get to their credit score because of this?

    • Right there in the title

      Minimum Loan $5,000

This is not a credit card. More like a personal loan account.

This will be an enquiry on your credit history - just like open a loan or credit card.

  • has anyone managed to get the $199 establishment fee reduced to 99

  • Why is this deal not advertised through their websites? Can only reach the deal with the link from here.

  • I have received bonus Qantas Point from the Qantas AMEX Card 2 months ago and the card is still active.
Question, am i eligible for another bonus Qantas Point when applying for this card?
    Thanks

    • This is a Citi Ready Credit. Your Amex card has nothing to do with Citibank.

The exclusion is only if you had received the same offer before - ie from Citi Ready Credit.

      • Thank you for your reply.
I sign up anything from Citi.

  • Received my 70,000 bonus sign up Qantas points and I just called up earlier today to close the account. Before closing the account the call center "relationship officer" asked me to acknowledge that benefits may be reversed when closing the account and asked me to confirm. Without thinking too much I said yes. Has anyone experienced any points claw back when closing the account shortly after receiving points?

    • +1

i received my points on the 29 of April, and closed it off straight away.
still have those points in my Qantas account.
      should be fine
