  • The Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge starts on March 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM (16:00) UTC and ends on April 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM (16:00) UTC.
  • You must provide an email address during registration for the Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge. You will be contacted via the email address you provide with the free certification details.
  • By completing one challenge within the Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge, eligible individuals are entitled to one free Microsoft Certification exam.

Offer details

  • You can only claim one offer per person, regardless of the number of challenges you complete.
  • Prior to redeeming your free certification exam, government employees must check with their employers to ensure their participation is permitted, and in accordance with applicable policies and laws.
  • This exam offer may be redeemed to take one (1) Microsoft Certification exam, delivered at an authorized Pearson Vue testing center or through a Pearson Vue online proctoring site by June 24, 2024.
  • This exam offer is exam-specific and only redeemable for select Microsoft exams. While you can take any of the select eligible exams, please see the challenge that aligns with each exam below. Eligible exams include:

  • There are no prerequisites to taking an exam. However, to achieve the Microsoft Certification, you must first achieve the prerequisites. If you take and pass the expert exam before the prerequisite, then you won’t achieve the Microsoft Certification until you meet all the requirements of that Microsoft Certification.

  • This exam offer redemption window starts on April 26, 2024, and expires on June 24, 2024, inclusive of booking and taking the exam.
  • This exam offer expiration date cannot be extended under any circumstances.
  • This exam offer may only be redeemed once.
  • This exam offer may not be redeemed or exchanged for cash, credit or refund.
  • This exam offer is nontransferable and is void if you alter, revise or transfer it in any way.
  • You must be older than 14 years of age to participate in the Microsoft Learn Cloud Skills Challenge. If Microsoft determines that you are not the minimum age, you will not be entitled to a free Microsoft certification exam and Microsoft reserves the right to legal action against you.

      I know you're being facetious, but good luck, the exam conditions are actually quite strict, even when done from home. You are actively watched and listened to the entire time by an actual human.

      You better hope you have a silent household - the Ts & Cs state that if they even hear background noise, it is grounds for instant disqualification with no free retake.

      That having been said, if you jump through the hoops, it's a nice way to pick up exams for free, and the yearly renewal exams for non-fundamentals are also free (and essentially unsupervised multiple choice) if done in time

      Huh I wonder what’s behind it. 14 yo don’t have enough money to pay for whatever later on? Or the materials are not pg-13 proof? Technically they would also be anctioning against a minor, hard to make it stick anyway.

        Thats a different look….
        Went back to my home town recently, drove round a few times, didnt see one kid outside riding a bike, or kickin a footy at all.. infact dont see any of that round my current place either.
        Guess Xbox/PS doesnt work outside

      I'd guess kids "hacking away" as nerds at that age are messing with Linux or VPS or something.

      Microsoft is old people and business stuff or gamers, fun to fiddle with doesn't seem ms to me.

    Can someone please advise what is a beginner's one to take? For someone who can only prompt chatgpt and stable diffusion for responses and never really learned data beyond the basic SQL queries.

    Just fyi , I did a challenge before , the discount was never received (in fact I got an email with the template but the discount was blank ) after several backward and forward with the ms team in the ms forum I just gave up.

    I guess what in saying is , do the challenge only if you think it is valuable on its own , don't do it just for the exam

    I just signed up for "Microsoft Learn AI Skills Challenge: Build next generation apps with Azure OpenAI" and it looks like I need a company Azure subscription to do the practical.
    Is anyone able to work around this by using personal account?
