Earn 20x Everyday Reward Points on TCN Him, Her, Teen, Cinema, Netflix, Stan Gift Card

A Woolworths store has seemingly displayed the posters for this upcoming promotion prematurely and a user on the Australian Frequent Flyer forum was able to take a photo.

The details are a bit hard to make out but it looks like it runs from 27 Mar to 2 Apr 2024 which would make sense as that’s more or less the same promotion Woolworths ran that week a year ago. T&C below

Terms and conditions:

  • Offer available from 27/3/24 to 2/4/24 on all denominations of gift cards listed, excluding TCN Him $30, Her $30 and Teen variable.
  • Available in-store only at Woolworths Supermarkets and Woolworths Metro, scan your Everyday Rewards Card to collect 20x EDR points. Excludes Woolworths Online and MILKRUN.

  • Bonus points can take up to 14 business days to be loaded onto your Everyday Rewards Card from date of purchase. Refer to individual cards for terms and conditions.
  • For cards with a fixed value, limit of 10 cards per day per Rewards Member (can be done across multiple transactions).
  • Rewards Points $20 = 400, $30 = 600, $50 = 1000, $100 = 2000, Variable card $1 = 20x points. While stocks last. Card images shown may vary.

*Note: this offer is for the week after.

TIP: I highly recommend using a secondary/disposable Everyday Rewards Card so it doesn't increase your weekly spend offers.

I thought you could only post woolworths deals when weekly specials are published online on wooworths website (Monday 5pm) as per woolworths request , has anything changed with this ozbargain rule?

    • Doesn't apply to advertisement that was put up early in-store.

Scans of catalogue will still be unpublished if posted before 5pm Monday.

          Who hurt you?

@cook99: No one. But im just commenting on what the mod wrote

The details are a bit hard to make out but it looks like it runs from 27 Mar to 2 Apr 2024

Thats the mods words, not mine

Thats a speculation and in normal circumstances , if @jv posted the deal with that wording , it would be removed as "insufficient details for upcoming deal".

But if you guys wanna suck up to mods, go for it. Bit every poster should be treated the same whether they are user or mod.

              @easternculture:

Thats the mods words, not mine

Strictly speaking, that is originally FreePoints’ words and the OP has republished them, so if you have an issue with those words, maybe take that up with FreePoints first for publishing them in the first place.

Regards of whose words they are, I have looked at the image myself on the FreePoints website and I actually think it is clear enough to make out the dates of this deal, as well as the gift cards excluded from this deal.

              • +3

@WookieMonster: It is blurry but 2/4/2024 as the end date is pretty clear to me. General special week is Wednesday - Tuesday which also aligns.

                • -3

@brandogs: Lol , i love how you guys are now experts on blurry images

                  • +1

@easternculture: Should have gone to specsavers!

                  • -1

@easternculture: I second easternculture. This is bending the rules to me. So an image is okay and a deal without image is not. A deal is a deal. Information is published with a credible source so what difference does a photo make.

                    • @Royale with cheese: There is more to it then you think. Woolworths got lawyers involved and basically threatened legal action if OzB allows users to post catalogue screenshots or photos of their catalogue before 5pm Monday NSW/VIC time, which is the same time Woolworths publish their catalogues online.

Only exception to the rule is if the leak was done by Woolworths themselves and it is not a leak in the form of a catalogue, which is the case with this deal as an employee has put up the incorrect advertisement sign.

            • @easternculture: Do eastern cultures ever stop complaining about everything?

              • -1

@MeatyOne: It is usually the western culture that does that

                • -2

@Brakus: Must be. Thats why all the eastern cultures want to live in the west

  • 2000 points = $10 off a future shop at woolworths.
    So lets say a $100 reward card -> 100 * 20 = 2000 reward points, so that's sort of 10% off.

    • No. $100 for $110 total spend. 9.09 percent off not 10 percent

      • -5

        No it's 10%

  • +1

Can it be combined with the 10% discount of Everyday Mobile?

  • TIP: I highly recommend using a secondary/disposable Everyday Rewards Card so it doesn't increase your weekly spend offers.

Can you link two accounts to the same name/FF account though?

    • +1

Never connect family members to Woolworths or Coles rewards card. I learnt it hard way.

I bought Coles discount gift cards with 2000 point and used both cards but I only got point for one card not the other one as they considered it as point once per family…!

Since then had two separate card with separate mobile number, separate email but same residence address.

  • TIP: I highly recommend using a secondary/disposable Everyday Rewards Card so it doesn't increase your weekly spend offers.

I don't understand this, isn't more offers good?

    • +6

I have found since I bought a large amount of gift cards at WW. I haven't received any Spend X Receive X points. It's been 2 years to receive any kind of those deals. I used to get them all the time.
So I think there is a valid point of using a secondary/disposable Everyday Rewards card for this kind of deals.

      • My Woolies rewards is stuffed. I've Everyday Extra and don't get those spend offers since the Extra membership in mid 2022

        • +1

I think like all loyalty reward programs the benefits go to those least loyal. I also get bugger all since getting Everyday Extras, but my Wife and dog both have cards too and I get them through those.

        • Same here don't get any spex X for X offer since I bought Woolworths mobile and Woolworths extra.

          • @SydBoy: afaik - or at least for me - buying gift cards at Woolworths doesn't affect weekly offers, unlike Coles/Flybuys

don't know about Woolworths Mobile, but from all accounts, Woolworths Extra does

i never scan unless at least 10-15% bonus value can be earned

  • Netflix card coming almost after six months.. Atleast for me…!!

    • There was a $12 credit one off Amazon a few weeks ago.

  • TIP: I highly recommend using a secondary/disposable Everyday Rewards Card so it doesn't increase your weekly spend offers.

I don’t get this part. So we buy the cards with disposable or fake ERD get the 20x points on that card and throw it away?

  • Handy for Qantas Tours promo. Makes this 20% off.

It's 2024 - you have to include him, her, and ZER.

    • It's 2024, I will stick with Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.

Any of the TCN card work in David Jones or Myer?

  • Can you use these at JB hifi to purchase google play cards? I asked at my local and they said no but I'm sure I've seen ozbargainers do this in the past

    • +2

JB Hi-Fi’s gift card policy was updated in November 2023 to officially not allow the purchase of any gift cards at JB Hi-Fi using TCN gift cards.

Whether you can still get away with this depends on two factors:

      • Whether the staff member serving you will let you do this.
      • Whether the checkout system will let you do this.

To redeem a TCN gift card from this deal at JB Hi-Fi, you need to tell the staff member that you would like to use a card or eftpos as the payment method, then you must swipe the physical gift card on the EFTPOS terminal. Considering how unusual it is these days to swipe a card, you may catch the attention of the staff member serving you…

      • +1

Thank you! Might wait for another google play card offer, seems less likely to get the poor JB staff in trouble

      • -1

No Issues at JB for me. The lady behind the counter did 20 x $100 Woolworths Gift card to 10 x $200 gift cards for me.

  • Hey everyone,

I'm planning to shop around 3k in JBHifi. Can I buy these tcn cards ? What denominations can I buy and how many can I buy from one everyday account?

Please suggest your thoughts. Is there any other way I can get offers for JB products other than price match?

  • Is variable HIM card included??

    • I think HIM cards only have $50 and $100 denominations.

      • Only $50 and $100. I've just changed them to Apple gift cards

  • I got Woolies email

1200 points when you spend $180

1800 points when you spend $250

2500 points when you spend $350

    • Saw this in my app too, doesn't look like on TCN is in the list of gift cards in this offer? Please let me know if I'm wrong/missed it.

  • My local never has the Netflix cards :(

  • Do we get 10% everyday discount on Netflix gift card ?

  • unable to exchange any TCN him/her to JB HIFI gift card via TCN website anyone have issue ?

    • Same here. "Your card can not swap for this voucher. Please contact us for assistance."

edit: issue fixed by registering the card first.

    • +1

I'm having the same issues too. But I had no issues spending the cards in store. Will be contacting support regarding this
