Still one of the best portable projectors for ceiling projection. 720p, 300 lumens,

    Come again

    • Has recommendation? One that doesn’t require extra tripod or installation etc.

  • Serious question: there are no name projectors on Amazon with 1080p and 300 ANSI lumens for $120. Is this >5x better?

    • +1

Some of those are likely fake resolution and fake lumens

    • Can we have an example?

      • Any of the ones on Amazon, top 5 in projectors.

E.g. Mini Projector with 5G WiFi6 BT 5.0 Android 11, Portable Projector 4K 1080P Support, Smart Projector Auto Horizontal Correction,180°Rotatable Outdoor Movie Projector (White) https://amzn.asia/d/h6QF7hF

I've just realised that they all seem to actually be 720p and 200 lumens. I'm wondering if they'll be "good enough" as long as I'm using a dark room.

        • If the room is like cave dark most of the cheapies are fine

I bought this one last year, and it was reasonably bright. Bought the Epson my Bro had, and it was much brighter, at least twice as bright. It's rated at 2000 ANSI Lumens.

The cheapie was usable in a hall on a dark cloudy day. The Epson allowed for a bigger projection on the same wall on a sunny day, and was still brighter.

Thought this was a hosereel from the thumbnail.

    • I mention in the description that this projector is designed for ceiling projection. The one you linked can’t be propped upward because it has all the cable plugs at the back. Sure, you can use a tripod or a mount, but it’s extra work and cost. Not really comparable in my opinion.

There’re plenty of projectors at cheaper price point that have the same or better spec than this one, but they won’t project to the ceiling without extra support.

      • i see
well i have my second hand asus p2m thats 10yo still working so im all good
