For 2 bucks more you can get this, which has even more performance?

i've just brought a PS5 for my kids, could anyone tell me if this drive would be compatible to expand storage?

    • +2

Google seems to indicate yes "The PS5 has an M. 2 SSD expansion slot that allows you to add a compatible NVMe SSD for additional storage."

      • PS5 does require a Gen 4 NVMe M.2. SSD. And yes this NVMe M.2. SSD is a Gen 4 so it should be compatible.

Yes but you might need a heatsink.

Compatible, but 1TB is too small for gaming. Also, for Phison E18 based SSDs (like this one), you want to get at least 2TB because Phison E18 is optimised for 2TB or more.
