  • I’d go one of the other deals over this for cheaper

  • I have the Apple Watch and MagSafe version and it is great.

  • +1

The LIMETA EB40 is a super interesting little power bank. Good value IMO at $26.

85% efficiency (pretty good) and dual 18W PD fast charging.

It also has a battery limiting mode, where you can set it to not charge past 80% via the app. And it does pass through charging and has a UPS mode (so does not interrupt the output when the charging starts / stops).

So you can use it as a UPS for cameras etc. Or combined with a cheap 12V PD trigger USB-C to DC cable, it will keep a modem or other 12V device (under 1.5A) running. And the 80% max charge mode helps keep the battery from degrading over time.

I did reach out to Limeta to ask what type of cells it uses, but have not heard back…

  • Received it today, very small footprint for a powerbank. And the app does have the charging status and limit charging capability, ability to turn of beep and the led indicator.

In the manual it just says lithium ion battery, i think Limeta is just ISDT. On the ISDT site, the PB40 state Samsung 21700.

but can't seem to find any teardown video.

    • Ooooh excellent sleuthing!

Based on that, I found a teardown for the ISDT PB40.

It does appear to use Samsung INR21700-50E cells, of 4,900mAh each. And sppears to be well built overall.

All in all, this is a bargain for $26.

      • Wow amazing search, very detailed analysis on the person blog and lucky google translate exist.

I did found a review on their 200x charger, it isn't very efficient based on youtube review

  • Thanks OP - grabbed two for later use on travels with the fam

  • Bought one as want to upgrade to type c and want to retire my microusb powerbanks and also because samsung INR21700-50E cells are considered to be very good and also present in ZMI QB826G No.20 which is praised as one of the best powerbanks. Also intrigued by the app functionality.

Price has increased to $29.50 though.
