    Ew.

    • Yep, pretty much

  • +15

surprised she fit on the cover

  • +19

Was very sus on Lizzo after she claimed that Chris Brown was her favourite person in the world.

Then the somewhat recent sexual harassment allegations…

Not overly excited about supporting her.

    • -6

if you use the espresso machine to support her instead? The effect of the coffee brewing out of her you know what would be pretty sick

      • +12

Genuinely, with all of my heart; What the (profanity) are you talking about?

  • Is it thick-thirty already?

  • +2

I thought I'd seen that body before- Lady in blue

So "they" decided to put a model of Lizzo on the 4th plinth in place of Lizzo Beth II

    "Cuz I Love You"

    Is that even legal?

      "I’m going to unsubscribe."

      Bye Felicia!

    • +10

      Nothing sexy about being obese

    • +3

This comment makes me wish if you got enough negs that your up vote would be revoked as is with a down vote.

Google the fat shaming and sexual harassment lawsuit that’s been brought against her by her dancers then go defend someone else

    • +4

Hey, you choose to flaunt your unhealthy obesity, show your (flabby) skin and make your fatness your entire personality and claim to fame, damn right you deserve the criticism.

  • +4

She was good in Star Wars.

    • +4

      Always wondered who played Jabba

  • +1

At least the Beyonce cover had her on a horse…

  • +4

Body positivity has gone a bit too far I reckon. Just saying.

  • Yeah saw this a couple days ago and while some of her songs are quite radio-catchy, not my cup of tea really. So for that reason I'm out.

  • +6

I guess $17.66 in the bargain bin for vinyl is where you end up after being cancelled for body shaming your dancers when your whole career was built on being fat and proud.

The duality is astonishing. We consider anorexia as a mental health illness, but being obese is promoting body positivity.

    • -4

anorexia is life threatening. the data on obesity is contradictory and not well understood.

q of aesthetics is another matter

      • +1

What's not understood about the risks of obesity?

        • -2

People seem to think obesity always equals unhealthy which isn't really true. All it does is make your body need to work harder. It's totally possible and common for an 'obese' person to be much more physically healthy than a 'healthy weight' person.

The main issue though is the social stigma around obesity which has improved greatly in recent years. The body positivity movement does not "promote obesity" like a lot of you brainlets think, instead just arguing you shouldn't receive harassment for your what your body looks like.

          • @themetaminer: Bull.
Visceral fat around organs is deadly.
Obesity is always unhealthy and unhealthy is never attractive.
Its not a lifestyle choice or style problem.
            It is a health issue.

          • -1

@themetaminer: Body positivity is a movement that was created to advocate for acceptance and respect for individuals with all body types. The problem with these movement is that they change, and the average masses often seize them as an opportunity to advocate for bad habits and actions, similar to feminism or any other movement.

You can also view it as a moral issue: would you wish for another individual or yourself to be obese/extremely thin, or fit and healthy person? Whatever your answer is, you must ensure that the effect of your decision has a positive impact on all individuals. You need to question yourself, your inner nature, and reason with it, and most importantly, be true to yourself.

Now, if you want to argue about the impact of obesity on an individual, it’s not that difficult. You might be looking at anomalies. Being obese is way above average, we are not taking about being overweight; then it certainly has an impact, not only physical but also mental. It can be due to self-control issues, mental health problems, or individuals who end up this way due to lack of education. It’s similar to being anorexic or very thin person. Some might say that they became obese because of their genes, but this is a fallacy, our food intake and burnt calories are pure math, not up for debate. However, your genes might have something to do with how our bodies metabolize food, but as an individual, you should seek help or knowledge and educate yourself to figure out what works for you before reaching the stage of obesity. If you end up being obese, then that's okay too, but you should not be advocating for the same thing or make it seem as if it's normal. You should acknowledge that it is a fault and work on yourself to reach a healthy state.

We should show compassion to all individuals regardless of their appearance, but at the same time, we should be true to ourselves, encourage positive behaviour and provide opportunities for self-improvement.

  • This is a great price - quality share. Saw Lizzo at Splendour last year, such an awesome performance.

    • Be pretty hard not to see her I'd imagine
