When will I receive my e-gift card?
If you are eligible, your e-gift card will be sent as soon as possible to your nominated email address. However please allow up to 5 working days.

I have made purchases on separate transactions; can I tally up the total to qualify for a e-gift card?
To qualify and meet the minimum spend band, the purchase must be on one transaction.

If I have made several purchases during the redemption period, can I redeem multiple times?
If you have made several purchases and therefore multiple receipts, you can apply for the e-gift card multiple times, via submitting each receipt separately. E.g. receipt 1 , your total spend on a Makita hammer drill is $350. Receipt 2, your total spend on a Makita lawn mower is $500.

You can submit both these receipts separately to receive 2 e-gift cards (you will also be sent 2 separate emails containing the e-gift cards). To qualify, you must:

  • Meet the spend band requirements ($250 or more)
  • Purchase products from the qualifying brand list only
  • Purchase date must be within the 20th to 24th March 2024
  • Receipt has not been used in a previous redemption

Once you have redeemed via the portal and received your e-gift card, you cannot use the same receipt again for the redemption.

Can I redeem the e-gift card on online purchases?
No. The Bunnings e-gift cards can be redeemed in store at Bunnings only.

  • Can I redeem the e-gift card on online purchases?
No. The Bunnings e-gift cards can be redeemed in store at Bunnings only.

    Thats really weird.

    • To be fair, Bunnings gift cards are really actually gift vouchers rather than gift cards.

If you redeem a Bunnings gift card and the amount being redeemed is less than the gift card value, the gift card will be voided, and you will receive as change up to $9.95 in cash (and if required, more Bunnings gift cards in specific denominations - e.g. $10, $20, $50). For example:

      • If you redeem a $50 Bunnings gift card to pay for a $27 transaction, you will receive as change $3 in cash and a new $20 Bunnings gift card.

      • If you redeem a $50 Bunnings gift card to pay for a $42 transaction, you will receive as change $8 in cash.

With that in mind, you can see why a Bunnings gift card currently cannot be redeemed online…

      • +1

        Ah got it thanks.

  • Effectively 20% off a credit card spend if you just make the tier.

    • Actually 16.6%. You get $300 worth of goods by paying $250.

  • Total Tools and Sydney Tools have been doing these promos for years. Interesting to see Bunnings joining them.

    • In some ways yes. In other ways a $50 voucher costs them much less as say there is 50% markup it really coats bunnings (or all the tool shops you mentioned) only $25.

  • Crap, just bought a Makita Lawnmower yesterday. Tempted to return and repurchase, but it is very heavy…

    • Just so it without thee stock, just bring the receipt and all them to repurchase

      • do you mean, I can come with the receipt only without the one I bought, and ask them to repurchase this?

        • I think they mean purchase another mower and return it the same day with the old receipt. I am not sure if the receipts mention the serial number of the mower. If it does then I am guessing you can't return the new mower on the old receipt.

  • I just bought a 2x18v brushless mower BLM464PT2 bunning price was $799. Price beat sydney/total tools @ 711.5 which brought it down to $640.35 + gift card. Happy days, thanks OP.

    • They have appeared to have already corrected their pricing online :( however the store I went to had a higher physical price displayed.

      • You've scored a great deal! I am thinking of getting the same mower but don't need the charger, battery or the blower. Wonder how much I can get for those 3 if I offload them to someone on market place.

  • Thanks OP!
Managed to score a Mitre saw at 77% price compared to Bunnings price AND a $200 gift card.
Interesting enough, they are now showing up as OOS in that store and surrounding stores even though I know that there was at least one left when we were done and they were closing then.

  • Ryobi more expensive than Makita

Looking at below options in Bunnings for line trimmers..

I used to think Makita is dearer but how come Ryobi is more expensive? It seems to be comparable in terms of specs.
