Super scammy advertising by them nonstop with the 'last deal of the year' bs

Needs to be reported to stop them from doing such bs marketing

Furniture companies have been doing this for years. But I agree, it's not a good look.

    • All gyms do this. You really need to go in and have a look at the facilities and how many people there to decide if it's worth it. Google Maps shows you when a business is most active, could be a guide on quieter hours to go there.

    $88 Establishment Fees

    • Regardless of how they label the fees it's still $7 a week for the membership lol. Not sure what your price point would be for a gym

        Tree Fiddy…

      • $14 a fortnight is fairly standard around here for a basic gym. There are definately more expensive ones but it's not super cheap and no ability to cancel the membership if it's shit because you've pre paid the year

Weird, I thought last months sale was the “last sale of the year”. What an actually scam.

"Buy now, so you too can be an unsecured creditor when our gym goes into administration!"

    Last year $188

    • Only 4 months ago. This really isn't a great deal considering that. But it probably won't get cheaper any time soon I guess.

Owner needs to work on updating and maintaining his gym equipment and facilities instead of spending it on his luxury cars.

    • +3

He needs 500 more members to get that new Ferrari…

    • also needs to work on paying his staff superannuation and settling the ATO judgements against him

Agreed after being an og member , this place has now gone to shits , Toilet stinks , gym smells , when it’s hot there’s no aircon. I have stopped going to this place

Honestly, it’s a garbage gym. Most of the time equipment broken, saunas out of order, no paper towels to wipe of other people’s sweat of machines and equipment. Staff refuses to help. If you ask the staff to give you a tour of the gym or show you which machine to use for a certain body part they refuse and say only personal trainers can show you. I could keep going but you get the point. Plus WTF with establishment fees and some deals don’t allow you to top up your membership. Absolute garbage gym.

Negging due to a combination of the above mentioned reasons, and also the fact that it's not any sort of value for money unless you attend at completely off peak times. Every one in SA I've been to has been unusably crowded at peak times, and still too busy in between. The music is also so loud that it overpowers even my noise cancelling headphones, all around not worth it.

  • What is the cheapest they ever been for a year including the dodgy establishment fee?

    • Was something like $188 + $79 fees for 12 months or $199 + $79 fees for 13 months last year.
