I think this is now a more permanent item.

    • +4

So normal price? I would prefer 2 pack $69

      • +5

        Nice

      • +1

Yea i pulled the trigger on a 2-pack at $69 when it was available. Now have 6 4A batteries. I "think" that's enough.

        • +16

          "I "think" that's enough"

          Sir, this is OzBargain.

        • +1

The best part of a shared ecosystem is that you don't need to buy as many batteries.

So obviously I bought enough batteries for all my devices, then an extra 4 because I have two double chargers.

Granted, it's still less insane than the box with 70 odd eneloops in it that I barely use.

          • +2

@freefall101: The plus isn't that you have less batteries overall because your tools are the same ecosystem, it's that you can just grab any of your batteries at any time! Got 10 of them? Scatter them all over your house for easy swapping! :P

            • @BrotherEstapol: I have about 10x batteries all up, but the 6x 4A are my go to for the bigger tools. The others range from 1.5-2.5A I'll use those for just smaller jobs or tools that don't need the power

            • @BrotherEstapol: Only practical if Ozito teams up with Nerf so you can reload new batteries as you move around the 'battlefield' . Then we'll need a deal for lots of Nerf ammo…

        • your ozbargain card has been revoked. how dare you pass up on a deal.

      • Still available or not

      • +1

I think 2 pac is not with us any more

  • +7

Don't think they really went out of stock everywhere, someone just expired the deal unnecessarily

  • +3

i don't need these, don't need these. 3 Ozito devices but 6 batteries already!

    • Can never have too many batteries.

      • +2

It's a liability. If you aren't using them very often have to remember to charge them every so often and sometimes the cells go bad sitting unused/dormant for a long time.

    • +11

3 Ozito devices but 6 batteries already!

Just buy more skins. Problem solved.

      • I've upvoted you already, but you really should link to a current deal.

        • +3

Sorry, there are no ALDI deals at this time. Check back later.

          • @bio: i grabbed 2 8ah for $50 ea on clearance

    • Buy one for your cat 🐈

    • you should have at least 2 batteries per skin. when i use my fan 1 battery is charging while 1 is being used. then i flip it when my battery dies.

  • It's crazy u used to buy Aldi for cells now these are cheapest

    • I think Aldi use higher quality cells.

      • always fresh good quality Samsung's sells.

    • How do you guys know they fit Ozito range??

      • I think they are talking about breaking down the case and using the cells inside for other purposes.

  • Thanks for the heads up op. I couldn't find these in stock last time at my local but they now are :)

  • it seems not many garden tools to use from Ozito.
    waiting deals from Ryobi…..

    • +7

which hardly come. I kept waiting then picked Ozito

    • +13

      What do you mean?

They have mowers, blowers, trimmers, pruners, sprayers, pole saws, even scarifiers, augers and cultivators. What more do you want?

      • +5

        Sir, they've got edgers also.

    • +1

Might have been the case some years ago, however recently they have really expanded their lineup.

    • The new 36v plastic deck mower is excellent.

    • You realise ozito has a robotic mower coming out…

  • Has anyone used these with an adaptor on Ryobi tools? If so, how did you go?

    • Wondering if I can do the same for Makita. Might not last as long as genuine but the price is right

      • +6

        I bought this adaptor: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005277261863.html?spm=a2…
I'd guess there is similar for Ryobi tools.
These batteries are working great with my Makita tools. Performance seems good, but I haven't measured it.

        • That’s awesome. I use the same two battery systems. tempting to try out.

        • Does the balance still feel good and is it tight and not jiggling around?

          • +1

@Dan83: it is snug. a little bulkier, but doesn't bother me on the makita air blower, or chainsaw.

        • Very tempting but looks quite chunky, wondering if moving the cells over to something like this would work. Teardown video makes me believe it could be quite simple. Grist for the mill 🤔

        • +1

Do you charge them in an Ozito or Makita charger?

          • @jdawgydawggy: ozito charger. makita / ozito don't have the same charging connections.

            • @peacenik: Sorry, I meant had you tried using the ozito/makita adapter to charge too. I wonder if there's any smarts in the battery that would stop it charging?

        • Anybody know where I can get an adaptor for this Bosch 18v heated jacket?
          https://www.bunnings.com.au/bosch-18v-professional-medium-he…

    • Used this battery with the Ryobi adapter from Aliexpress (~$25) and works perfectly.

Clicks into the leaf blower and whipper snipper without issues. However, it didn't seem to click into the mower (probably due to clearance or I didn't push hard enough). It still worked without issues.

    • Yes, I use an adapter for my 4Ah Ozito batteries on my Ryobi whipper snipper. It works well enough but the only adapters I could find are 3D printed and unfortunately they don't fit the Ryobi tools as well as a Ryobi battery does. They can sometimes not click in well, or are difficult to release the battery, and the first one I bought had a printing defect that required it be replaced.

    • +1

Bought one off ebay. Works well and helps break down ecosystem barriers.

    • I have 2, one for ozito an one for aldi, they are the 3d printed ones from gumtree.

You have to be sure it clicks in on a mower, 100% no good for commercial use but no is doing that, id expect it to break in a couple of years but at $20 its cheaper then ryobi 8 or 9ah batteries by a long shot. The 2x 9ah 18v are $379 or so vs $100 each for the 8ah aldi batteries (I paid 50 each) and the adapter

  • Anyone wants to share near Sydney Airport? I just need one and happy to pay 35

    • Buy all and sell the rest. You'll end up paying less than 35.

      • Just too lazy to do the sell part, lol

  • After just one in Brisbane if anyone is willing to split?

  • Have the larger size batteries ever been on sale ?.(8Ah,6Ah and 5.2Ah)

    • Not that I have ever seen. It's always the 4.0ah or 2.0/2.5ah batteries that go on sale.

  • So it's essentially cheaper to buy batteries (like this deal) and the tool (skin) separately over buying a kit/set? I know it depends on the skin but it seems like it

    • +2

Sometimes, but note that kits also come with chargers.

  • Honestly considering moving across from Ryobi.

These battery deals are just too good and accessories like chargers are so much more affordable than Ryobi. Ozito just came out with a 4 port charger for $120 that can charge two batteries simultaneously at a time and then move to the next pair.

  • Any chance these would work with the katana tools that was on deal before?

    • +1

doesn't work, i have both, not sure if adapters exist though

  • How long do these batteries last really?

    • +1

How long is a piece of string? Like most battery live it varies widely depending on usage and storage conditions.

FWIW I've had since of mine for like 7 years and they still operate fine with no significantly noticeable degradation for my usage.

  • +1

I’m getting good use out of these batteries. Especially in the brushless 36v mower. My son uses these with the dual usb addon to keep devices charges at music festivals and camping. Cheaper than buying battery banks
