Is it just me or do the modules optimised for AMD systems never go on sale?

    • +3

Don't need "AMD optimised" with the recent AGESA BIOS updates

Hynix is currently the best die for AMD compatibility and performance so unless you're running a Z-tier mobo with really poor CPU bin, this is almost guaranteed to work within the optimum 6000-6400 range for AMD

      • I'm doing a new Ryzen build and saw the 6400MHz version of this at Amazon for $349. Looks like great value for money.

I was going to get a Gigabyte motherboard but I can't find anything in Australia really which is on the QVL list. Are you saying that it doesn't really matter and that this should be compatible? I've spent hours trying to find matching RAM and it's doing my head in!

    It's 6600MHz

Ordered the 2x32GB kit, but order history shows 2x16GB so had to cancel.

If you ordered before the surge, beware that you may end up getting the 2x16GB kit. Even customer service confirms that they see the 2x16GB kit in order history.

    I don't see 287.94$ . Its 394$ now. Guess it was a price error.

    • Corsair surge pricing. They'll only sell a few kits at a reduced price before jacking it back up

  • How to tell if it is an A-die or an M-die? A technician told me it was a Hynix-A die, please elaborate more on this. Cheers

    • CPUz

      • any other way to check except cpuz? can I look it up by model number somewhere?

        • Only from the serial number they sometimes follow a certain pattern, or other people who have reported it online. Top bin is A now i think there no more M in hynix modules. I got some hynix A from lexar which run stable st 6400mhz 32CL on AMD. Usually if it's that speed its top bin
