        Oh OK thanks. So it's like extra padding around the eyes? I remember people recommended some kind of head strap, maybe kiwi design. Any thoughts?

              The elite just supports upper head. The fit kit support around eyes and nose

          @Budju: I have the Kiwi design headstrap. It's great and highly recommend. They are much better than the Elite straps as has more padding.

          I (using velcro) strap a 10000mAh powerbank to the rear for additional power and adds additional rear counter balance. Saves buying the more expensive straps that have built in battery.

          Sidenote:I doubt the OP case noted here would fit the Oculus with the headstrap. Food for thought prior to purchasing either.

            @Borg: You would need some other case like the bobovr C2, which you can get for about $55 shipped on aliexpress.

            I prefer the bobovr strap since you can upgrade them and can have a hot swappable magnetically attached battery.

    Some googling says Q3 will fit but the controllers may float around inside the case

      The Q3 box it comes in is a pretty excellent and compact storage case as is, although the lid doesn't close fully if you have the controller handstrings on.

    That's kind of like asking somebody who buys a "Backpack" where they are going to. :-)
    Anyhow, they can be used just to store it away rather than packing away in box when not used OR for popping over to a friends place. Keeps it safe from damage and protects lens from accidental sun exposure if left near a window when not in use etc etc.
