preorder at RRP is not a bargain.

Unlike AldiRRP that's always a bargain?

Look at all those neggers who think Aldi deals at RRP is fine but anything else isn't. Double standards much?

        • +1

If an Aldi item is competitively priced and cannot be found elsewhere cheaper then… yeah.. it is a bargain.

Sorry you don't see it that way.

Fact is this is not a deal, this is the normal price from any Nothing Phone seller.

And it's still RRP. Aldi items are exclusive to Aldi most of the time anyway.

Where did I say it wasn't?

  • That's a good price for a jr flagship. It's high time for Samsung to take their galaxy A series seriously.

  • nothing to get excited about.

I mean, yeah last night I may have watched 13 reviews over a 2hr span.

My conclusion is pretty much as follows.

    Pros
    - Unique design + glyphs
    - Fantastic battery life thanks to a very very efficient 4nm Dimensity CPU
    - Stabilised 4k 30 rear and 1080p/60 front (also stabilised)
    - Pre applied screen protector is nice
    - This phone is cheap when you think it's the same price is an iphone XR from half a decade ago new.
    - 3 years OS updates + 4 years security patches, you're good to Sept 2028 (at least)
    - 120Hz OLED is awesome and has symmetrical bezels
    - Upper midrange Mediatek CPU, don't be fooled by the snapdragon or nothing mentality, those days are gone.

    cons
    - Plastic phone, finger print magnet
    - The cameras are decent but based on reviews, it's on par with the iphone 12 in stills both night and day time.
    - The design just isn't for everyone, most might not even use the glyphs
    - No charger included, I know most flagships don't include them but still..

Overall, for $500ish.. you really can't go wrong, it's suspiciously cheap when you consider the prices of every phone line is creeeeeeping up.
