    Payout is 180 days.
I guess it means that you will have to stay with Energy Australia that long. In this case, the cashbck may not be worth it.

  • If I just moved my gas account away from them (8 days after final bill and confirmation account is moved), i wonder if I would be a new customer for electricity or not as I haven”t had electricity with then for 4+ years

Cashback is ineligible on the following: Returning EA customers for the same premises. At least not working for me.

      • This will trip up many people. Myself included.
        Too hard to claim this.

      • What do you mean by not working?

  • It says $100 credit per account for my post code (NSW), total of $200. But looks like its only fixed tariff, I'm on TOU.
Does anyone know what happens if I sign up for a fixed tariff plan? Will it change me over or will they reject the application?
Their chatbot is useless… mustn't have sorted their AI setup yet.

EDIT: looks like Ausgrid wont allow anyone with a smart meter to change to a fixed rate plan. When I click through from cashrewards, and put in my address it shows the Flexi plan but only shows fixed tariff. Does that mean the cashback will only work for a fixed tariff plan?

I can get all the way through the sign up without another mention of whether its fixed or TOU. Will it just select the "Flexi plan" and put me on the TOU variant?

EnergyAustralia doesn't specify which plans the $100/$200 credit applies to… been burnt with AGL on something similar. They have no support assistants on today.

EDIT 2: In the signup review it shows the TOU tariff and says ill be connected to whatever Ausgrid says… so I think it will work. Rates are decent, $370 total cashback not too shabby ;)

  • I am in SA and with these guys and I have solar panels.
15c/kWh for the first 15kWh and then 8.5c every kWh after that. The best FiT over summer (I average 40kW room my solar panels over summer) and will likely be the best over winter as the most I can get is 15kW.
If anyone knows any better FiT for SA, let me know

My solar and elec prices are cheaper
But my gas is more expensive
But I’m getting $100 bonus each so it’s still cheaper
Will sign up once I get out of bed

Need to stay for 180 days to get CB?

Any other good decent credit back for electricity? I need to churn out…

  • Compared to Simply Energy in NSW for Feb I would be a few $s better off on supply and usage but $30 worse off due to solar feed in of 7c compared to 12c on 720kwh. Being in Autumn now and Winter next, a switch is a no brainer as EA also offering $100 on each energy type not $50.

  • Does anyone know if I can sign up my wife as the account holder at an “existing” address as accounts have only been in my name? Currently with Simply for electricity and EA for gas. I don’t really want to sign up as “new” address.

  • Anyone in WA with solar found the best deals around?

  • Returning EA customers for the same premises;

No more cash reward deal ….. I was customer of nearly every retailer.

    • Even if 2-3 years ago?

  • Anyone received the tracking confirmation yet?
