I’m worried gray wouldn’t look gross pretty quick.

    • +5

Yep. I have a grey one. Had it for about 6 months. It is pretty gross :(

      • fyi this was over a year ago but bunch of people on reddit saying black got dirty the easiest. gamers eat and spill stuff which is dirty as heck though.

seems like a bright colour like blue or pink is better. grey is probably better than black.

I've heard that they come up pretty good if washed.

        • yea and if paranoid chuck it in one of those fragile item net bags. you can pick one up cheap at daiso. deskmat might need to be folded in half or something though don’t remember the size of the biggest net bags.

        • Gee, I must be doing it wrong then. I’ve got three or four mats I bought on eBay and one Lenovo that I got from a $10 deal, and all I do to wash them is chuck in with a colours laundry load on a regular cycle. Never had any trouble and they come up a treat. I could probably stop drying them in direct sunlight as a couple have faded a bit, otherwise the backing is still good and the stitching hasn’t come unravelled.

            @Chazzozz: 100% 😂 that legion mat was a steal.

And can confirm, threw it in the washing machine with colours on Thursday and hung it out to dry. Good as new!

            • @SlifSlif:

100% 😂 that legion mat was a steal.

It sure was! I had enough points saved up in my account that I was able to get one of those plus a web cam and only ended up paying about $6 in real money. I should've gotten 2 mats, on reflection.

        you can't wash it?

        • +1

You can. Just hand wash and then put it on for a gentle spin in your washing machine and hang dry inside near a fan (outside in the shade is probably okay too)

I have the gray and it was gross before I washed it. I hand washed it and then spun it in the washing machine and now it looks so clean

I would recommend reducing the speed that you spin it at though

Nice tip, will give this a try. I bought a second one off Amazon with this deal so I could have one for home and one for work, but the kids have grubbied up the Logitech mat I currently have at home so hopefully it comes up nice for me.

    • Wife just got a black one and it shows up lighter stuff too easy as well.

Her old one was blue, with some small patterns, def the best.

Also we got the IKEA black one, great price but I think in hindsight the thick ones are no good, thin is better

I have one of these (purple colour)! They are super comfortable. Good price!!

This $10 each + shipping deal is still going. Delivery is probably a few dollars more so without math I would say evens out?? These are 90x40 though with more interesting designs while Logitech is 70x30

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/836795

a bit tricky to browse DC though. when I was having a look sometimes image doesn’t change to the selected mat. and with the ones showing a keyboard you have to manually click through the images until you get to what the deskmat looks like. patience rewuired

a comment saying shipping to Melbourne is way to much.

also I was into the keyboards for a small bit during covid. Ive got four 90x40 desk mats, can only use one at a time though so the rest just sit stacked unused. Used to rotate them but not anymore.

    • $10 with in-store pickup if you are in Sydney. Or $10 in-store Australia wide at Big W. The designs are obviously going to suit different tastes compared to the more understated design of Logitech. Officeworks have a grey version for $15 if you prefer that style.

      • can OW price match this?

        • They don't appear to sell the Logitech desk mat.

          • @donga100: ??? i thought they do

            • @Yaren24: If you mean the grey Otto branded desk mat I linked above, it is already cheaper than this deal but isn't the same product.

    • My order got cancelled from them after a few days.

    • Thank you, grabbed 2

    This mat looks so mid.

    • -1

Mid grey more like it. ROFL!!!

    • +1

Because it's in the center between black and white?

      • No, because the product is called Logitech Studio Series Desk Mat Mid Grey

    • -1

      It’s 0% alcohol so I’d say it’s ’ultra-light’.

  • I was looking at this and ended up buying this one: https://www.mwave.com.au/product/hyperx-fury-s-gaming-mouse-…

pretty good deal for $19 I paid an extra $10 on top of that for delivery but I think its still worth the extra amount.

    Any G640 deals?

  • +1

I believe this is good stuff but the size is too small. Marginally bigger than my logi powerplay mouse pad.

    • I'd say the size is perfect if you have a 60% or 75% keyboard. It's too small for a full-size keyboard.

      • +1

Yes I have. My daily drive is ROG Azoth. The problem is the sheer size comparison to logi powerplay mouse mat. I prefer the desk mat being decently larger than the mouse mat, not marginally.

  • +2

It's appearing $37 on eBay after coupon for me.

  • Serious Question: What makes these branded ones better than the cheapies/none branded ones?

    • +3

I have one of these: nothing.

    • +3

Literally the brand. That’s pretty much it.

  • -1

That shade of grey with black trims reminds me of Oliur's aesthetic. Dave2D might approve too.

    • +1

Add a dash of teal and he'd eat it all up.
