WETHRIFT-40

40% off the iBoostUp with Spyware Doctor macOS app.

iBoostUp is a great Aussie alternative to other spammier, offshore apps of the type you may have seen all over reddit or on ridiculous youtube videos, for example CleanMyMac - this app is freemium so you don't even need to purchase if you just quickly want to reclaim some space on your Mac. Established in 2010 by former employees of PC Tools Sydney (aquired by Symantec) it now features Spyware Doctor which is able to detect even previously unseen apps which might exhibit malicious behaviour or be a risk to your privacy. Forget the naysayers; Mac storage space is at such a premium over PC, you sometimes just need a quick and easy way to safely free up a bunch of space. Macs don't get viruses? Sure maybe 10 years ago, but there is an increasing amount of Spyware, Adware and scams targeting Mac users. Our Spyware Doctor tool is a scanner so it will not slow down your Mac. It is OPSWAT platinum certified https://www.opswat.com/partners/iboostup

The app is totally self contained so if you don't like it simply quit and drag to trash. It is available from https://iboostup.com/download or https://apps.apple.com/au/app/iboostup/id484829041?mt=12 this coupon works with the the direct download.

We are no-nonsense, respect your privacy and definitely won't mess you around if you ever need support, if you want to cancel (hopefully not) just shoot us an email and we'll take care of it.

40% off what? There's no price listed on your website. So much for "not messing people around".

Yeah 90% of our customers are from the US. Can make a seperate checkout to change it to AUD, but based on all the traffic from ozb most of you commenting are on Windows so it probably doesn't even matter. See how we go.

No, Macs aren't invulnerable to viruses. However, these days companies such as Apple and Microsoft are taking cynersecurity seriously and are infinitely better positioned to create software to protect your device than a company you've never heard of with hardly any resources.

Don't pay for this crap, keep your OS up to date and you'll be fine.

    • Exactly my thoughts. Mac OS is already quite locked down as is, you really have to go out of your way to compromise your system.

        • There's a great defence against most of these things, but it can't be bought. Its misnomer is "common sense". And I don't think people have to worry about the hardware implants unless they're an executive of an ASX 200 company or a government agent and Apple suddenly change their minds and make these things repairable, let alone leave space for an implant.

You joined less than 3hrs ago & already had a comment removed for making a personal attack and here you are telling another member they were rude. Oh the irony.

Reps really need to be a step above if they are to use OzB for posting deals. Neg for issue with the seller.

Your comment is one big vomit of word salad designed to scare people who aren't informed on this topic.

Saying "many dodgy shenanigans are possible" and then proceeding to list a bunch of generic issues does not prove that your app works or is even legitimate. Lateral movement, SQL injection, fraudulent SSL certificates! Big scary words with no explanation on how my app protects anyone against them when Apple can't!

You then mention how there are dodgy VPN providers and utility apps. Also true, again, not an argument for why you also aren't a dodgy app. Your shoddy website certainly seems to suggest you are.

If I had a debating background I'd be able to better label the form of Chewbecca-defence style of writing you just utilised, unfortunately I only work in an industry relevant to this.

although I do get amused when Macintossers claim they don't get viruses, malware, etc. that's the attitude that allows them to spread.

    • i get amused by Wintossers looking at such deals

    Edit: LOL just noticed this:

The #1 free utility* on the Mac App Store℠ (*as of Jan 19, 2012)

I think you need to learn to let go of the past.
