Thanks, epic price for 512g of 180mb/s.
Ordered one although I'm already having too many of those……

  • Almost the same speed as SanDisk extreme pro

  • +1

i want to get one but what do I use it for? hmmm…

    • +1

For phones that still have microsd card slot.

Android tablets. Nintendo switch, asus rog ally just to name a few.

      • Would the Nintendo Switch benefit from the slightly faster theoretical speeds? I thought the Evo one already exceeds the Switch's max read speed.

        • +1

Most devices won't benefit from the theoretical speeds above 100MB/s because they only work with supported card readers (same story with Sandisk UHS-I cards that advertise speeds above 100MB/s).

For most people, the only real use case for these is for file transfers using supported card readers. E.g. offloading photos to PC from a camera BUT during use in camera they will operate the same as an EVO, as will the Sandisk Extreme PRO UHS-I cards.

That being said for this price its not much difference between the EVO and PRO so wouldn't be too fussed about it if buying new cards. Just don't upgrade from the EVO thinking you'll get any better performance in device.

I bought a 512GB micro sd card from a deal over 6 months ago and still can't find a use for it.

      • Time to get yourself a lossless portable music player

        • Never heard of the Lossless brand before. I just found one on Kogan.

          • +1

@x x: Its not a brand. Its a form of audio compression.

            People also ask
            What does lossless music mean?
What is lossless audio compression? Most audio compression techniques lose some amount of data contained in the original source file. Lossless compression is a form of compression that preserves all of the original data.

            • @xoom: Ah so it's like playing flac files instead of mp3. I'll do some research and see which are the best mp3 players these days.

4k video and RAW files eat up space in no time!

Yep i got it when it was 38 bucks on prime :)

Thanks, cancelled evo select, and ordered this one.

    • this is interesting why does it say discounted from 52 bucks? when in Australia its 149 bucks for this https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/samsung-pro-plus-512gb-mi…

      • +2

Because Australian retailers rip us off.

    • Same. For anyone else in the same position, the cancellation should be instant (~5 mins) as the previous item hasn't shipped from the US yet (Thank you Easter weekend)

      • US yet (Thank you Easter weekend)

Easter isn’t a long weekend for almost all the US and I’m pretty sure no states get the Monday off. It’s just because of the time difference means it’s it’s still Sunday there.

How much is the delivery charges on this? Can anyone tell me

    • +3

Add it to your cart and go to the checkout to calculate the shipping to your address.

  • When you click on the Specifications drop down, it’s says Digitial Storage Capacity: 256 GB. Anyone know why it says that and not 512 GB?

    • Great question. I noticed that too.

    • Also number of items being 2. Makes it sound like 2x 256GB cards instead of 1x 512 card.

      • +1

Product title has Memory Card + Adapter, seems likely the 2nd item is the SD adapter

so is this legit or not? because seems to be sound doubts and coming from the U.S. amazon I dont' want to put more risk on the buy.

          • -6

@kungfuman: Neg voting is not only cowardly it doesn't answer the question.is it legit or not?

  • -2

    this seems more legit

Thank you, just ordered one for my C210 camera

  • Are these much better than the Samsung EVO Plus?

I bought an EVO Plus recently and got the "Slow Card" error on my Vantrue Nexus N5 Dashcam.

    • +1

For video these are rated V30, same certification as the EVO and any other 'high performance' UHS-I microSD card on the market e.g. Sandisk Extreme PRO. I highly doubt the dashcam needs V60/V90 level cards to operate so its probably more the dashcam being picky about cards than anything else.

For file transfers using specific supported card readers - yes these are better than the EVO.

For basically everything else - most likely not.

I was able to price match with JB but only for this link, $80.08 - so almost double the price but with Australian local warranty https://www.amazon.com.au/SAMSUNG-microSD-Adapter-MicroSDXC-…
