Tempting find, and a highly amusing book pairing given lent is about forbearance.

    • I think youll find lent is completely made up.

      • I mean… yeah?

I prefer to keep my vernal equinox celebrations strictly pre-council of nicea and worship the goddess of spring/the east and fertility. Eostre.

i just bought one of these the other week, its a bit tempting to get another one though…

Nothing wrong with having two Turn to the Cross books since you can give one to thy neighbour, even comes with a free ssd!

  • Have they solved the rapidly declining health issue for this drive?

    • +12

wasn't that fixed ages ago through firmware update?

    • +1

This came out after the firmware fix for the smaller variants, so it's fine

I added the SSD to my cart, waited a few minutes to check things and the SSD is no longer included in the buy 2, get 5% off.

  • +2

Looks like they removed the extra 5% discounr

I’m waiting for pcie gen 6 for my YouTube browsing rig.

      • 😂

      • If it opens assets from the browser cache 0.001s faster, you might save few minutes of your life in the long run :D

        • I do know that when I went from sata 0.5gbps SSD to gen4pcie ~7gbps SSD I drop into my hell let loose maps about 4 seconds earlier.

wow … I get negged to recommend sticking with the current generation .. rather than old tech. wtf

      • +2

Yeah, thats cause theres not really any benefit to 99% of users. Might as well get gen 4 that will serve most just as well, but at a much more desirable price.

        • +2

Not only no benefit but most peoples machines can't even utilise Gen 5. Very few are even maxing out Gen 4 at this point. FYI, I think saying 99% of people is actually a conservative estimate. Then add in the stupidly insane prices on Gen 5 drives.

According to camelcamelcamel, even at $410, it's a compelling price.

  • this would be awesome with a high speed ssd NAS, 10GB ether net

  • Picked one up at 394 using 15 dollars of Amazon Vouchers This is as good as SKHynix P41 2 TB for $159 and WD SN850X 4TB $329 ALL RECENTLY AT AMAZON

    • +3

      Where did you see a 850x 4tb for $329!?

      • I don't think the hynix p41 2tb was $159 recently as well lol

  • 18/3/2024 SK Hynix P41 2TB 215.98 - 60 Amazon Vouchers = $155.98
    26/12/2023 WD SN850X 4TB $379.25 - 65 Amazon Vouchers = $314.29
Have the online Amazon AU receipts to prove it, and all in AUD NOT USD

    • Why do you need so many ssd's ? Are you on selling? And where do you get all these vouchers?

    • +1

      so you used vouchers…

      • Yes as mentioned in my original post, but even without vouchers much lower than usual prices

  • That's alot of vouchers…….. Great job !
