    10% back on $150 is pitiful for CW. The cards are definitely getting cancelled this year, not worth it anymore.

      If you regularly shop there, just buy a GC.

      We only go there for scripts now, Amazon matches a lot of their prices and delivers free.

        Buying gc doesn't work. Transactions get cancelled when paying by AMEX. If someone finds a way around it, lmk

    In case anyone else skimmed over it like me and missed it the first time the Chemist Warehouse offer is only for the website. Not valid in store.

      You can actually order prescription medicine online. You can either post the script after placing an online order, or request an e-script from your doctor and enter the code during checkout.

      Website accepted my Amex as payment method for gift cards. Transaction looks like it went through but then the order was cancelled and the charge was refunded.

        Interesting, any reason given? I wonder if GC doesn't accept Amex in general or because cashback is going on.

          The cancellation email says "Your order has been cancelled due to unsucessful payment." I tried a couple of different AMEXes now with the same result so I know it's not because there's an issue with the cards themselves

              @cacbm: Update: I contacted support at Chemist Warehouse, and they fixed whatever issue that they had. My second Amex worked.

                @cacbm: Please update us whether thr credit gets paid on the gift cards. I'd prefer to buy a gift card as I don't know if I'll spend $150 this month.

                  @daanish: I've got a $15 credit back on one card but not yet on the other card. I might have to contact them after 15 business days but I'm confident that Amex will pay up at the end the T&Cs don't exclude gift card purchase, and that they did pay the credit on my other card.

                    @cacbm: Update: I now got the $15 credit back for my second card automatically after a few days. Didn't need to contact Amex after all.

                @cacbm: Thanks. I managed to get one card to work but not the other (same auto cancellation) so the issue might still be there but it's hit and miss.
