    That 25¢ fuel cap really kills the deal for me, and I don’t even chopper. Kinda want to sell the gc and be done with it.

      That's true, although every now and then you'll find a cheaper 7/11 pump that you can use the GC on. It expires in 3 years, so there's really no rush. I just filled up at my local Strathfield pump for 179.9 (with 6% cashback works out to 169.9). This is significantly cheaper than other pumps and doesn't require any fuel locking.

      7/11 gc can be used in any competitors petrol station. No need to sell.

        7-Eleven digital gift cards appears to be usable at any merchants categorised as a service station. The only restriction I know of is that it you cannot use 7-Eleven digital gift cards to purchase WISH and Amazon gift cards (and possibly other gift cards) at EG Ampol, as EG Ampol has chosen to block Activ Visa gift cards as a payment method for these gift cards.

        7-Eleven physical gift cards are only redeemable at 7-Eleven.

            @TanedaR: To be fair, as soon as the 7-Eleven digital gift cards came along, pretty much everyone has forgotten about the physical gift cards!

            @domo653q: There have been reports of the 7-Eleven digital gift card working at Costco (which is very surprising to me).

            Someone else asked about Liberty in the last 7-Eleven digital gift card deal, but no one provided an answer. I would expect it to work instore at Liberty (because an EFTPOS terminal instore at a service station is supposed to use MCC 5541, which is permitted on this gift card), but it ultimately depends on the MCC assigned to the Liberty service station you go to.

          Thanks for the heads up on Amazon and Wish GCs at EG. I was definitely considering converting some of them to Wish but I guess Coles Myer at Shell Express will be the option now.

    One of my friends always filled his car with 7 eleven fuel, last week his car broke down, towed to mechanic, diagnosis is contaminated fuel.

      Did they refuel when the fuel tanker is there? It's a no-no as the tanker brings up all the crap at the bottom of the tank.

        I am not sure about the fuel tank being there but they used 7 eleven fuel exclusively, using their app to price lock.

    Activated this and the 1000 point offer to fill up a little fuel. It stacks and i got both bonuses at once. you could probably fill up 1L and get 500 points.

      To answer my own question for those wondering, I put just over $5 in yesterday. About 2.5L. Received the 250 bonus points today.
