I shave quite infrequently, about once a week or two. Blades last me about a year each.
Yeah same, but I do like a fresh blade so try do it every 6 months.

I used the blade that came with the shaver for ages… 18 months+ and never noticed a drop in shaving quality. figured it wasn't very hygenic and decided to change it after the last ozb deal lol
wasn't very hygenic = Nothing that a good clean with soap and water followed by a squirt of isopropyl doesn't fix. A drop of oil on the blade can also help keep sharp long term:-) Amazingly, I'm still using an 18 month old one and still works well however do finish off with a shaver for a closer shave when needed.
I think quality has gone down. First blade I had lasted 3 years before I dropped it and part of the mechanism snapped. The replacements I've had since then have dulled faster in ~6 months.
