I don't game, but reckon OLED worth it just because I use as a second TV to watch sports?

    • Probably not, unless you can watch sport in high resolution, I personally find that lower quality content looks worse on OLED than if you had a cheaper screen.

      • Hmmm I have been worried about that as I use streaming services, it's just going to show the flaws more clearly. It's like how the old movies look even worse of today's TVs than they did on the old CRTs.

I wonder what my best option is then, buy the worst LED I can find? haha

        • Tough choice yeah, if your content is only 1080p or less it might show the flaws bit more for sure. Maybe go with a half decent LED that has decent colours?

Assuming it must be set up on a desk next to existing monitor so you can't fit a TV on it right?

          • @Tbargain12: Been already considering C3 42" but probably no point with shitty 1080p streaming stuff

            • @bleeder: Yeah I was going to suggest X90L, if there's still any left, but that'll be at least 55" and above, there's a 50" C845 from TCL if it's cheap enough?

              • @Tbargain12: Yeah been keeping my eye on the TCLs too. My main living room TV is 10 years old and has a chip out of the actual screen, so also been considering upgrading that with maybe a 75" TCL

                • @bleeder: Sus out the X90L if there's any sales on, might be the better TV.

This is a very high refresh monitor (360hz) targetted at gaming. Absolutely overkill to get this model to watch sports on.

    • +1

I'd just get a small TV if only watching sports

Too late to cancel my JB order, oh well, at least I am getting it next week.

  • Hmm only HDMI 2.0 bandwidth on the 2.1 port.

    • hdmi 2.0 can still do 1440p 144hz just can't do 4k but its not a 4k monitor

      • +1

Yeah but then no support for the higher refresh rate like via DP. My laptop's gpu only outputs via the HDMI 2.1 port.

        • -3

yeah not a good outcome there, probably just build a desktop if you are running a silly gaming laptop

  • $1106 at JB Commercial ($1121 with delivery)
    https://files.catbox.moe/8y8fgd.png

  • Pulled the trigger and got the 7% off too (plus 1.5% from cash rewards also).

Given that i will use this to WFH, there's a tax discount on top of this too… haha

I might be able to generate 1-2 7% codes for people who need them, pM me. Oh apparently you can ask in the chat they they give them.

      • Thank you very much.

      • Hi there! Would you still be able to generate the 7% code for the Dell promotion for me? Thank you so much, you're incredibly kind.

I have to ask since I’m literally clueless, does Dell too here in Australia cover burn-in in their warranty like MSI or ASUS does with their new QD-OLED for 3 years? If anyone could chime in it would be highly appreciated! :)

    • Yes

        Thank you Kumo.

  • Just ordered this - 27" QHD 360Hz OLED is incredible for $1015 all up.

I used CashRewards for 1.5% back, and got $10 credit for making a business account 😊

  • Monitor arrives on the 29th. Extremely fast delivery by Dell compared to the JB deal. Thanks OP!
