New and existing customers are eligible. The terms state that the points can take up to 31 days but I received mine instantly.

You can also earn another 1,000 points if you link your Virgin Australia Business Flyer account (ABN required).

Velocity Frequent Flyer members (“Velocity Member”) can earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points with DiDi between 12.01am AEST 23 April 2024 and 11.59pm AEST 15 May 2024 (Promotion Period).

Velocity Members who do not have a registered customer profile with DiDi as at 23 April 2024 can earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points when they:

  • download the DiDi app and create a DiDi account

  • select the “Velocity Points” option from the menu and then select Velocity Frequent Flyer; and

  • enter their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership number as part of the registration process.

Velocity Members who have a registered customer profile as at 23 April 2024 with DiDi can earn 1,000 bonus Velocity Points when they add their Velocity Frequent Flyer membership number to the “Velocity Points” section of their customer profile with DiDi.

      I tried with multiple accounts, and it does not seem to work "This account has already been linked". I haven't tried deleting the Didi account that is linked.

    Can anyone tell me where the velocity points section in the Didi app? I can't find it under my profile. I have updated the app to the latest version. I am on Android.

    Edit: nevermind, found it. My location was defaulting to Auckland where I used the app last time. Once I turned on location the app showed the banner to link the velocity account.

        When used optimally (for int'l business class flights), they're ~1.9cpp or $19 per 1000. The going rate in Ozb classifieds is about 1.4cpp.

            @fredblogs: That's really up to you and what you find value in.18k points for a cheap flight now or 70k for a cheaper flight later.

            If I only had 18k points and I wanted a flight that was easier on my bank account, there's no problem with spending those points suboptimally if you see value in that.

    if you sign up for a new virgin business flyer account (ABN required), you can get 2000 signup points + 1000 from this deal, which is just enough for the min. 3000 points required to transfer into your personal account

      Ended up getting 4000 points by using this method and a second didi account (need two mobile numbers). First Didi account was linked to my personal velocity account to get the first 1000. Then created the business account and linked it to my second didi account to get 3000 before linking the business account to my personal account and doing a transfer resulting in a net 4000 points in my personal account (transferred instantly).
