Hardware kits can be purchased to assemble your own foam flingers, these are extremely powerful shooting at 180fps to over 300fps with the right springs (can clean fire a nerf dart through both sides of a cardboard box)
These kits are made and provided by OOD in the USA and are priced at their MSRP + 10$ or so to cover the shipping cost from them.
The spools are being cleared to make way for a 15-17000 roll restock on the 5-7th may containing the new super durable Polycarbonate plastic spools, these spools are tougher, come without packaging and overall are just a way nicer feel.
Protopasta and yousu will continue on cardboard spools.
