Sensational TV. However mine broke down within a couple of months so QA may not be the best.

    • what happened ? how was the warranty process ?

      • It rebooted a lot and them stopped working. Tech guys came out twice to try to fix it but no joy. I think I'll be getting a refund but would rather have a working tv.

        • Get them to replace it

          • @Bruceflix: Think the argument is there's no stock left with Samsung. I haven't formally been made any offers from Samsung yet, am just going by what the tech repair guys told me my options would be.

            • @B3: I believe that under Australian Consumer Law if a repair is unable to resolve the issue with your TV the vendor (or manufactuer) is obliged to replace it (or refund you).

If their argument is they can’t replace it because there’s no stock, that’s their problem, not yours. They should be replacing it with the closest equivalent model that’s in stock as to remedy your issue within a reasonable period of time.

If there’s no stock of your model as they claim, they might have to upgrade you to a better/bigger model (if they offer a replacement that is inferior, do not accept it).

Cost of doing business in Australia. Don’t be afraid to threaten action through the ACCC if the vendor or Samsung drag their feet. A major failure within a couple of months of purchase for a “premium”, high-ticket product is unacceptable.

        • bit worried now as I ordered a 55" one today for $1409.
was it some thing like this? https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/18590ti/new_samsung_s…

I never wanted to get a Samsung TV but it is the cheapest OLED right now :/

@bazingaa: Yeah it was a lot like that. I ignored the rebooting at first but it got more and more frequent and then wouldn't start at all.

The repair guys thought it was a power issue which is apparently common for them, and replaced something and that worked for a few days but then the problem came back, so there was another issue as well.

Samsung are great value and the TV did look sensational but there are QA issues.

@B3: Issues with a range of their products unfortunately. Market saturation is great, but after care service is terrible apparently. Too many issues, even though I need a new 65" :(

            • @B3: could be a dry solder joint somewhere in system board. have you bought from a retailer or Samsung it self? and was it 65" one?

Think the argument is there's no stock left with Samsung.

I am wondering why they say this as they are still selling TVs with these deals.

@B3: I had a dead pixel on first and replacement panel. 3rd panel was gravy.
Also restart issue. Replaced power board and has been fine since.

I bought one at the beginning of the year when JB had their sale (price nowhere near as good as this) and within a couple of months, it developed a vertical line of dead/stuck pixels with a green tint that would not go away. Finally got Samsung to look into it and they got it repaired by replacing the entire panel - The warranty and support process to even get to this point was a PITA since their call center was giving me the runaround for ages. I ended up having to get JB to raise a case with them directly to get anywhere. Here's hoping it doesn't develop any new issues, but this whole experience has put me off getting anymore Samsung TVs. Next time around, I'd rather spend more and get an LG or a Sony.

  • Pls share 15% if you are not using it. Thanks !

  • I would also like 15% discount code please if anyone isn't using one. Thanks

  • Is 15% code received by email?

  • Would love to get a code as well if anyone has one, thanks.

  • This or G3?

  • +1 for a TGG 15% off code if someone has one available. Thanks in advance.

    • Where is the code? Email? I wanna check mine, but where?

      • According to the last deal, people were targeted with TGG codes for 15% around the same time, and would share if they didn't plan to use them. So seemed to be random people subscribed to TGG I guess.

  • I believe those codes expired last month.
