  • Snip require a credit check?

    • I had to send image of driver's licence for paying using prepaid cards but IIRC there was no credit check

    • No.

Seems targeted.. does not appear on my Qantas Discovery

    • NOT in velocity too

    • I saw this offer on my discovery card, there was also a 15% cashback offer for a list of niche stores (flowers etc)

  • +1

I've got a spend $250 or more get 1250 Membership Rewards Bonus Points on my Discovery card.

      Same deal for my explorer

Which offer is better? 10% money back or 1250 bonus points?

Thought using Sniip would bypass the BPAY requirement for my rent, unfortunately somehow my agent 'doesn't accept credit cards' like I thought that was the whole point of Sniip lol

Is it with DEFT? I have the same issue but using Google Pay in Sniip gets around this restriction, however only for Visa/MC. Amex still not allowed :(

      • Guess it must be, feelsbadman

    • I BPay my rent. Are you saying you can’t use snip & Amex to do this?

      • Depends on your agent. They can still disable credit cards through BPay which Sniip seems to follow.

        • Is yours Meriton perchance?

          • @rogsamsy: Nope. But it's worth a try. The Sniip app tells you if it's allowed or not once you enter the details (before actual payment).

Just set up as bsb and account then via uploading an invoice. Still may restrict Amex but not Visa and Mastercard

  • What is the best way to get personal rent setup? They said they need something saying tax invoice and with the abn of the agency but I pay to a mobile wallet. Anyone had success paying their own personal rent via sniip?

    • send them the rental contract is fine.

      • Yeah I tried that..

Might try to ring them. Paying at the beginning of the cycle on amex platinum seems ok value

  • Is there anyway to use this to pay myself? $500 even with a $6.45 fee still means $43.55 profit.

  • Does this work for paying the ATO? I've seen that the rate used is from 1.93% for business (or whatever that means).

So assuming I pay $500, plus surcharge of $9.65 and get $50 back, I'm ahead?

    • On another related note, if I pay my tax bill with sniip, will I still get points with other credit cards that say they exclude payments to govt?

      • Yes and Yes. Though depending on the card you use it may not be worth it with the added fees. Usually better to wait for a Coles Mastercard deal if you can.

I paid $500 off my SRO bill which incurred $6.45 fee.

I received email from Amex informing that I had qualified for the $50 and that it would take up to X days to complete.

      • That's awesome. I used a referral, so the fees were mostly offset by the $10 referral credit. Haven't received the email from Amex though.

Edit: I have the email from Amex now. Yay!
