Android Auto Wireless Adapter Connection Issue

Hi all, bought an Android auto wireless adapter called Herilary C1 from Temu. It works fine, but one thing which bothers me the most is my phone doesn't connect automatically once you left the car, and back again. The only workaround I found is disconnect the C1 and plug in again.

Just wondering would more expensive brands like Ottocast or Carsify works better? Or is it ultimately just same thing with more glamorised marketing?

Appreciate your input. Thanks!

  • try a firmware update ? instructions

    • password is incorrect for Android version. Mine is showing C1play-ACE7 instead

  • I have an aa wireless unit and it works well. Automatically connects every time

    • what brand? even when you left and come back again? I'm not talking about first start of car

      • "aa wireless" is the brand
        https://www.aawireless.io/

And yes , it just sits plugged in all the time and phone connects everytime without me doing anything. The entire idea is for them to be seamless.

Its no where near as cheap as a temu option, but when I researched them, not getting annoyed by it not working was my main goal and I didn't mind spending extra $ to get a well reviewed option

  • It's a cheap item from temu, they would take shortcuts where they can to save on costs.

Recommend AA Wireless which is only available from Amazon US

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B71XC7VG

    • Still about AUD 50 though

      • Lowest AA Wireless has been is $55.99USD but not likely to drop in price again until next black friday sales in November.

      • They are $100+, not sure where you're seeing $50

    • can you confirm that it will still connect automatically, without you touching any buttons, for e.g. when you left the car to pick up a parcel and come back into car again. Thanks

Xi Jinping says he will fix this S̶p̶y̶w̶a̶r̶e̶ software issue with next update.

  • Mine does the same thing, you need to delay the startup. But one some models this still doesn't work.
Only work around it is get a more expensive one.

    • Which more expensive one? Ottocast, carsify?

  • if you just want bluetooth connection for music only then grab one of these for $8 delivered from aliexpress

i have one of these in my dumb car and it connects with my phone each time.

    • I do need Android auto especially Android auto

  • Not able to help with this specific Temu adapter, but documenting that the Motorola MA1 has worked pretty consistently for me with multiple phones and an aftermarket Chinese Android headunit. Far more expensive RRP, but I used Telstra points.

There's also some prior commentary on adapters from a few members here.
