TV Screen Recommendation for Shop Ads Display

Hi Guys

We need to put a TV like a led screen or something for the fuel station shop which kind of runs ads or slide show of ads and offers of various products we have in store.

What’s the best recommendation for something like that. The Screen would run for almost 24 hours.

Also any software recommendations as well for the above.

Thanks

  • Cheap Hisense or Kogan / similar. Display will likely be trashed and picture quality is not important. Spending more will not get you more durability (usually), only better quality

    • Kogan tends to be the runner in saving a buck scaring viewers away.

A TV with the software built in to do this is probably best. You'll have to learn the software and it may come with a subscription fee. Or just use any TV and connect something like pisignage.com to it, you'll again need to learn how to set up and eventually manually update the pi but it's pretty reliable, the pi will self boot even if it loses internet connection and power. You'll need to buy the pi too and pay a subscription.

The TV should be big, bright, and have good viewing angles. You probably should pay a graphic designer to make the ads too. Aim for products and offers you'll have for years ahead of time to get the best value out of it. No point paying someone to make a motion design ad for something happening just one weekend, for that kind of thing you're better off making yourself, unless this is a fuel station for royal princes or something.

  • Look at commerical grade panels that intend to be run 24/7

  • Facebook Marketplace

  • Use google to find what is out there for software.
