Lads and lasses - just a heads up on the durability of these beasts. I bought a plain wooden Peugeot pepper grinder 32 years ago. After constant heavy use, it still looks like new and the grinders are still working to perfection. Outstanding build quality and couldn't recommend more highly.

I bought the navy ones a few weeks ago and the paint on the bottom has already chipped. Returning them and I'll try the white ones. How do yours fare? Are yours timber/painted ? The navy ones are lovely but it's like a 2pac paint kind of thing I'd imagine it doesn't hold up well which is a shame.

The mechanisms of action and material [PEFC Beech wood] seem the same. It's sacreligious to say this, but I'd rather pay $60 than $97 if its just for a few extra inches but no extra quality.
The 18cm ones come with "u'Select grind adjustment system with 6 predefined settings, from fine to coarse"
For the 10cm one you can only adjust by the nob at the top.
