Why was Darth Vader referred to as Lord Vader?
Because calling him Master Vader made all the Stormtroopers chuckle.

Anyone else seeing the normal price for Star Wars Pinball ?

    • Strange. I see the sale price for one of my Meta accounts but not the other …

    • They've started limiting who can see the sales recently. I had zero access to the April sale they had recently. I'm in the middle of giving them what for about it with their support. They told me sometimes they limit sales to new users. Which is rubbish. I'm guessing you're on the no sale list as well.

  • Can you get further savings with referral?

EDIT answer is no but can by VPNing to Japan or Canada etc

    • Are Japan and Canada the same price as each other?

JP cheaper for me, via PayPal no intl FX CC.

        Y990/9.7aud-Vader Series,
        Y841/8.2aud-Pinball,
        Y1190/11.7aud-Tales.

        • Thanks! 🙏

          • @Hargain Bunter: ** edit: actually appears that each transaction was +50c aud on my CC. PayPal checkout forced me to use their crappy conversion rate, because my Mastercard CC is usually much closer to the market rate.

            • @xdpx: Those beasts! I had a similar rude shock on a credit card purchase I made recently, said it was in AUD but still copped a conversion fee. Cheers for the heads up.

              • @Hargain Bunter: Yes, that will always occur if the payment is processed outside au (regardless what currency is used for the transaction). It used to be possible to disable PayPal conversion but they have removed that option. In case of these games, you may be able to save and pay with your own card directly within meta. I added CC into my meta payment/wallet (auth transaction also written to card) but it didn't appear as an option when buying the games.

                • @xdpx: Update: There was a change in the default selection for currency conversion on my automated payments, which reverted it to paypal conversion. It does remain possible to select "Convert with <nominated card>" as an option, I just needed to go and manually revert them all again.

  • Already bought the (Master) Vader Immortal this morning and will be getting Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge + Last Call Add-on sometime soon as well. 🤙

Still coming up at full price for me. Logged in and out a few times.

    Help?

Long shot, but if you have a second account, you could try that in case it's targeted, if the second account works, purchase as a gift to your other account. Also maybe try incognito to ensure no caching and maybe even expeirment with a VPN Australian based IP (different city for example).

      • Good idea! I gave this a go and noticed that the Vader games specifically had the “Gift game” icon removed!

Contacted the Meta support. They gave me $20 in credits. (some claim to have gotten up to $30 on Reddit)
I advise you to contact them.

      • Thanks for the tip. I got $30 credit too.

As per my comment earlier they've started limiting who can see the sales recently. I had zero access to the April sale they had recently. I'm in the middle of giving them what for about it with their support. They told me sometimes they limit sales to new users. Which is rubbish. I'm guessing you're on the no sale list as well

    • Seems anti consumer.. ACCC might want have a chat to them.

      • Yep pretty stupid in my opinion. This is the response I got in regards to the April sale which I couldn’t access. And now I can’t access the Star Wars one. I’ll be keeping at them until things go back to normal. Anyway here’s their response.

“ I have an update with regards to this and it seems to be that in order to keep our offers fresh, we periodically run promotions for randomly selected customers. It appears as though the promotion you are referring to is not available for you at this time”

I know that this is not the response you wanted to hear with regards to this matter and I hoped for a better out come. If you have any questions or concerns please do let me know.

No sale price for me either.

As someone who has owned the quest 1 and 2 headset this is giving me serious reservations about jumping back in with the quest 3…

  • Vader Immortal series is great for PCVR.

Unfortunately the others are Quest exclusive, so they won't be any good without a Meta headset.

  • Same. I cannot I only see the full price.
