Head shaver - I believe the lowest it's been on Amazon or in OzB deals.

I have been using it for six months. It's easy, it's really quick, traps all the cut hairs really well and is super easy to clean. I do find I still have to go over a few corners and crevices with a razor to get a perfect finish (around ears, neck).

Under $100 brings the RX7 down to what you might pay for the lower RX5 model. Benefits of RX7 vs RX5 include:

  • Longer run time
  • Quicker charge time
  • USB instead of plug charger
  • Battery light indicator
  • Has a pop-up detail trimmer (which is pretty crappy)
  • Slightly better design/grip/ergonomics

Having said all that, have a mate who has the RX5 and he loves it.

Hurm, thoughts vs Pitbull gold, anyone?

    • i have this and it's decent enough. Save your money

Does it work on other round wrinkled objects?

    • Haven't tried. But I would avoid using blades near hairy wrinkled objects unless the product was designed for that…

Yep, don't want to balls that up if you can help it!

    • Get a nutbag trimmer for that. And som Nutcare powder for game-changing routine

  • Buyer beware. High failure rate on these ones. Pitbull is the way to go.

    • I want to shave my head frequently now, so Pitbull is the best for skull shaving?

      • High investment, high yield

    • Mine (RX7) has been going strong for well over a year. Just don't lose the USB charger. It has a proprietary cable that was so hard to find a replacement for.

  • Does anyone know where to find good replacement blade heads for this?

    • +1

There's an order form in the back of the user guide (which you can PDF download from their site if you've lost it). Or any good shaving shop

I have the previous Kmart one to this: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/head-shaver-black-43324590/

It works insanely well, and I only get through10% of the battery on a shave. Cleaning is easy, I just hate having to unclip the heads 2-4 times per shave depending on hair length. But I can't imagine this wouldn't be an issue with any of them.

Highly recommend the Kmart one. At least the previous gen anyway (spherical body)

    • how close does this cut? i use a 1/2 with my regular clippers

      • +1

Close enough that my head is smooth, not scratchy.
Worth noting mine is the one with 5 heads, not 7.

  • I have both RX 5 n RX 7. In my opinion the rx 5 cut alot finer, could shave after every 2 days. But with rx7, has to be everyday. I am thinking of trying the cheaper ebay, or the Kmart ones, and agree with eitai2001 cuz they all do the same thing

I have the previous Kmart one to this: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/head-shaver-black-43324590/….

  • I had a pitbull and the unit failed after ~2 yrs. The shaver head also broke, but you can order replacements from shaver shop for $50.

I'm now using the pitbull head with a cheap ($30) body and it does the job just fine. The cheap body doesn't have the battery display, but that's not really a deal breaker.

The triple foil shaver head that came with the cheap body is nowhere near as good as the pitbull one. I've also used other shavers before pitbull and they weren't as fast or as smooth.
