  • but how does it compare?

    • Just bought one for dinner today. Pretty good actually.
Surprisingly it comes with garlic sauce and flat bread as I thought I'd get only the chicken only for the price.

I went here for dinner a couple of weeks back.
In my opinion the chicken is nowhere near as good as el jannah

    • Went to el jannah last week chicken was incredibly dry

    • El Jannah has gone down hill massively due to them branching out and having numerous stores. Also, probably the main factor of their decline is due to their garlic sauce which was previously made in-store but these days it's pre-packaged ones which does not taste the same at all. Even Aldi Garlic Dip tastes better in my opinion than EJs current pre-packaged garlic sauce.

Also agree with the comment below that most of the times their chicken is quite dry. Previously it seems like quality was a lot better. This has also declined over time.

Insane how much the prices of whole charcoal chicken has gone up over the past few years, and as far back as 10 years. I remember in the early 2010s, I’d usually pick up a whole charcoal chook from the local Arab chicken shop for $12 and that came with a tub of garlic sauce and sometimes even a small packet of Lebanese bread.
