Microsoft Surface Pro Type Cover for 7 Pro and Earlier Models (Black) $139.96 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

110

My first post be gentle. AFAIK all time low for the type cover. This is a last gen product so they're probably clearing out stock.

Compatible with Surface Pro 3 up to and including Surface Pro 7+ (no compatibility with non-pro, and models above 7+ which have the pen slot in the type cover).

Harvey Norman also selling for $138 if you're into that: https://www.harveynorman.com.au/microsoft-surface-pro-type-c…
As well as the black with fingerprint ID for $178

Personally I might keep waiting even though my 5 year old type cover is all frayed at the edges.

I have the Surface Pro 7+, but I don't think this is a deal.
    5 years old even.

If you dont mind, share your data on how many OzB members own a SP7+ and below to back up your trash talking. Also you must be a blast to hang with. Smile it's free, is that bargain enough for you?

17 members in total own an SP7+. I am very fun at corporately mandated events.

I agree, I'm pretty sure I didn't pay this much when I got my Surface years ago.
If you want a deal, find the brand new official OEM on eBay

@Jessie Ryder: Hey example of the oem please link? And they work just fine as the genuine?

Any tips how to deal with old ones that frayed on the edges and left marks on table… very annoying..

I used matt black tape (insulating tape in my case) and carefully folded it around from topside to underside to create a new edge. This prevents further fraying and looks a lot better. Not ideal but works well.

        picture please for guide. thanks.
        insulating as for cable? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/175660408925

        • That has to be one of the worst, most laziest, product photos I've ever seen. Hilarious.

        • No idea as it was just a bog standard roll of Electrical tape that was Matt black rather than shiny. Whatever takes your fancy!
Example pic: This is an old one I did with less care so has creases but still better than yukky frayed edges.

    I'm HLODing

  • For an older device consider FB marketplace as well, can regularly be had for under $50

    • this 100%

No need to buy brand new when a 2nd hand works just as good

      • Been watching but rarely see under 90

        • Just put offer $50 and some of them will accept

In my experience the offical type cover has trackpad issues when plugged in. It's a PITA
