        its clear the rep is aware of the promo with woolies from their reply tbelow - so why didnt they link via the woolies marketplace instead?
        if the $10 is out of woolies pocket surely its a win win for seller and bargain hunters alike (and really why are are all here (other than reading the dramas on ozbargain forums?)

    First, our prices are always higher on Woolworths as they take big % of every sale, second we had a promotion with them as I mentioned and it ended, so we extended the offer to Ozbargain. Also, we are literally selling this item at a loss. We are a small Australian business, just trying our best to survive in this economic conditions and we would really appreciate a bit of support.

    Was $55, now $70 (with use of Woolworths code)
    I don't think I have ever seen a price-jacking as a result of the community pointing out a price-discrepancy between two platforms

    As mentioned previously, we initially ran a promotion with Woolworths that concluded, and later extended it to Ozbargain. Due to the controversy it generated, we reinstated the promotion on Woolworths. Thank you, and I hope you have a great day.

      It's a tough learning curve but perhaps a valuable one rep. Ozbargain isn't a place to magically reverse your business fortunes or try to pull a swift one, despite what you may have heard or been told. Being harsh & scrutinising every deal ensures the community benefits as a whole, not merchants as individuals. Posting a good deal means merchants get sales but users score savings too.
