Thanks. I added to the post, hope you won't mind copy and paste.

    probably unpopular opinion…

but you can find the LCD models everywhere on marketplace for $500ish. So many upgraded to the OLED I assume.

but yeah, just food for thought.

      Careful so many scammers

      • Yeah I saw an old lady selling a "brand new steam deck" for $500 on marketplace recently, as well as a bunch of other cheap tech… I haven't seen many legit ones selling at that price

        • The scammers are using exact same photos, and their profile says location is in non Australian country… go figure… not so smart eh

FYI You can get the Steam Deck OLED 512GB for the same price in Japan right now. Took a bit of hunting around but I manage to buy one just the other day. AUD is really good against the YEN at the moment which helps. Obviously only useful if you are planning on travelling to Japan as it is next to impossible to import one from AUS

I'm sure the OLED is better, but I'd much rather pay 700 for this bad boy with half a terabyte out the gate.

  • Currently playing Dead Space with it. šŸ˜

I caved and purchased the OLED 512gb from Kogan eBay yesterday. Total $994 which I'm pretty happy with.

  • Tbh just go the extra 240 for oled at this price, better overall performance and battery, but most of all, beautiful (profanity) oled.

  • Just grab a 64 gig and slap in your own 1tb ssd for 100.00 bucks.

Grabbed the OLED deal recently that wasn't much more than this…. Not sure this is a deal.

    • The deal is the eBay link with the 12% off taking it to $702

  • Can you still get a 64 gig version for a decent price? I want to get one and put my own ssd in instead of getting 512gb

Cheapest I've seen recently is $650. I'd say the 512gb model here is worth it to save the hassle

  • But isn't the 512 going to be nearly 100 more?
