Have you always thought that vegetables such as broccolini and asparagus would taste better if they were coated and fried just like KFC chicken? Cheesecake, too? Peanut butter and jam sandwiches? They're some of the items on the menu at The Original Crispery — and, like the burgs, they're also free.

The place: 118 Crown Street, Darlinghurst. The dates and times: 10am–7pm on Friday, May 17 and 10am–5pm on Saturday, May 18. Everyone who drops by will get one free original crispy burger and one other free item from the menu, as suitably "crispified" as the fast-food chain is calling it.

    Vegetables such as broccolini and asparagus should be fed to chickens and then the chickens deep fried.

    Personally the new crispy burger tastes kinda like it has no flavour and they focused all on the crunch and new mayo

      You need herbs and spices to add flavour. Which tends to be lacking in many mainstream chains.

        Unless the store i tried it at made it wrong, it was pretty bland. Not bad for 8 cents, however i wouldnt buy it again

    The crispy burger is not crispy enough for me, but the taste in general is good enough. Also I chose cheesecake for the second choice which is good too.
