After 2,400 searches, that's 6 bucks for the calendar year!!! That would have my USB cables, tweezers and fake moustaches from Meritline covered.

You are correct. Plus they could link you/your address to all your searches so there goes any remaining privacy for 50c/mth. I'm sure they'll get a few gullible people in.

All told, it’s an awful lot of information to surrender for a maximum potential reward of 50 cents a month. I’d stay away.
I signed up, but it seems to be an absolute dud! Every search gets an error message "Your search was deemed invalid and did not qualify for earning points" Waste of time
FWIW, 100 points is worth about 50c.
