Google Nest was terrible, it didn't have 1/4 the functions that the Arlo had, when it came to video quality it was great and if you want an ALWAYS on camera, maybe not a bad choice. The Eufy quality is ok, but again the App is craptacular and the Geo-Fencing function to set away/home just doesn't work 99% of the time - again, maybe if you want an always on camera, not a bad choice. Currently out of my 2C's one is accessible on the app but wont record any events (despite being turned on and set up for motion, it just stopped working one day).
I had Alro for years and years, and never had a single issue or complaint, so based on my experience I'd just stick with Arlo any day.
I even bought the new Eufy smart/AI home base, what a waste of $300 that was.
I guess what stood out for me on the on the Eufy product suite was that that there was no subscription cost due to having the home base. As for the feature set that you mentioned Arlo stood out on, which ones did you find worked better or you find yourself using a lot that stood out from the rest?
@phokingwhy: Honestly, I'd rather pay a subscription than keep using Eufy, it's not as good as the other options.
Interesting, I have Arlo and ring, paying subscription for both me thinking of swapping to Eufy.
Please let us know why?
I would love to get something with local saving location to avoid cloud storage and associated costs, but this is 1080 and Grade C. :(
Don't let the grading dissuade you - I got some grade C 2ks and you'd honestly hardly know they'd ever been touched.
I've been using eufyCam 2 with both Homebase 2 and now Homebase 3 for years. It's been a great experience! No monthly cloud storage fees is a huge bonus compared to other options.
My friends, on the other hand, haven't been so lucky with their Arlo Pro system. They've had a lot of problems and are considering switching to Swann's NVR system or either Eufy or other alternatives..
I am thinking to buy This - REFURBISHED|EUFYCAM 2 PRO 2K 3-CAMERA SET (GRADE C) but not sure value for money.
Do these constantly record or triggered?
I have a couple of ReoLink battery cameras and by the time it triggers and starts recording the person has moved past it (down side of house).

Not much to add other than that I've had these, as well as Google Nest, and all I wish is that I'd stayed with the Arlo infrastructure.
