Uhm, I’m not a text analyst, but the way you write (especially how you deal with dashes) makes me doubt about your 2 weeks in this role, unless it’s a company policy to write exactly the same way as the previous person.

Rep didn't answer last time so will try again -

What happened with the previous Rep account which is deactivated? The gaslighting & pretending to be the victim was out of control in this post.

    • Is this the same person or was that Rep sacked?

If businesses want to post on Aus number one bargain website they really need to be a step above in customer service, not a few steps below.

      • +4

You seem to think you're an Ozbargain mod

Says the self appointed neg vote policing officer.

How’s tricks today, officer? Nab any voting offenders? Did you scold them good? Anyone change their votes?

        • -3

Tricks are fine thanks. How's your Robin Hood philiosophy going? In lieu of supporting the notion of stealing from Colesworth - both legitimate Australian businesses which already have to deal with theives, who as you know extract up to $9B from Australian retailers annually, have you ever considered supporting charities on an ongoing basis which have been doing social work for decades while you slept and/or chased up deals from OS? The good news is that the gumint will subsidise your generosity and you can choose charities which service Au, OS or a mix. I can recommend a few if you need help.

Agree, this needs to be addressed

I think you added an extra zero by accident

$100 is our sale price, these chairs are actually very pricey new- no accident :)

Let's not judge the rep from previous occasions, looks like a new rep. Saying that, by a quick google search this chair sells for $667 on Clearance (new) @ finnishdesignshop so $100 it's not bad I guess depending on the used condition.

Would I buy a $100 used chair? Absolutely not.

Would someone else buy a $100 used chair? Maybe.

Let's not judge the rep from previous occasions

Most likely the same Rep, just deactivated the old account & created a new one.

      • Would that pass with Ozbargain? I don't know. The rep claims they have been on the job for 2 weeks.

        • +6

It wouldn't be the the 1st time they've tried to be deceptive. See this post where they deliberately left the store name out of the title to to try & avoid scrutiny from certain members & the voting system.

          • +2

@WatchNerd: Maybe they forgot or they done it on purpose because they were afraid of the negative votes.
Either way let's vote for the bargain. I have learned in my life to forgive and move on.
            We all make mistakes.

              • +1

@WatchNerd: Oh, the rep done it on purpose. It's up to Ozbargain if they want to ban the store if admitting that violates the rules.

              • -5

                @WatchNerd:

So yes it was done on purpose to avoid the voting system & scrutiny from certain members.

Rep was dead right. Your constant carping about deals is beyond the pale.

          • -4

@WatchNerd: "From certain members". Indeed, consistently the same cabal. Some can't even acknowledge that free delivery of flowers on Mothers Day might be a deal for some Ozbargainers.

      • We have several methods and OSINT tools to detect multiple account usage. I would suggest leaving that job to moderation staff, there's no need to speculate, cook up conspiracy theories & insinuate that they are doing something (dodgy) when they may not.

Please withhold from neg voting if the sole reason behind your neg vote is disliking the deal poster. Please play the ball not the man.

        • Hi scrimshaw, my apologies. I did make an accusation & totally overlooked it.

I negged after my 1st comment which I don't think gives the impression of disliking on a personal level.

Neither any of my other comments.

    neg due to seller attitude.

    • +3

      Cringe.

      • -1

Think so? Is the deal good or not? Always happy to acknowledge a good deal and take on puerile comments if necessary.

        • +1

Given all of the other comments this one doesn't seem very genuine.

          • -1

@Ham Dragon: Another mind reader? I'm supporting the deal poster. Should I join the bandwagoners who constantly carp about certain deals but will never be seen on others where they know they'd receive appropriate responses to their inanity?

@Igaf: You're just being a contrarian because you have a bug up your arse about some users holding reps to account. Whiteknighting for reps under false pretences doesn't change anything, except others' perception of you.

              • -3

                @Ham Dragon:

Whiteknighting for reps under false pretences doesn't change anything, except others' perception of you.

Your assumptions need a lot of work. 'Doesn't change anything' what? That the deal was good? That there's a small group who regularly engage in the same inane attacks on deal posters and have done so consistently with this business?

Allow me to disabuse you of at least one simple fact. Unlike the cabal, and possibly you based on your comment, I'm not in the least concerned about your, or their, perceptions of me. I dont need your support or approval, or the Ozbargain "community's" for that matter.

                • +2

@Igaf: Looks like you forgot to click the associated check box.

                  • -3

@Muzeeb: Looks like you left your perception under your bed.

                • +1

@Igaf: And despite that alleged indifference you feel obliged to dispense in-depth analyses and engage in quarrelsome exchanges ad nauseam over what, how anonymous people behave on an internet forum? I smell a bad lie, a terrible narcissist, or both.

                  • -1

@Ham Dragon: There's an obvious logic disconnect there. "Despite" my indifference [to your perception and negs] I'm prepared to make my point and answer your comments? Must be shocking for you. No "in depth" analysis required or involved, the actions are transparent. Yet another example here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/846033

You might want to get your olfactories checked. They appear to be on a par with your perception.

                • @Igaf: Maybe you’re sick of people trying to protect ozbargain from being infiltrated by dodgy brothers, advertisers, drop shippers and people post non bargains. Clearly you don’t care if that happens but a lot of members do.
Ps what are your thoughts about the op being in the penalty box? An unfair witch-hunt I guess.
                  Here’s another neg due to Sus/the previous/same op’s attitude.

    @Igaf
Are you still supporting the rep even after the tools worked?
