I'm getting the 3 months free subs and I have previously sold the device on eBay for more than $60.
      Otherwise I wouldn't touch it

      • Really? People actually buy this stuff?
I got one for free (sitting in garage) eBay it is!

        • Yeah sold 2 with reasonable number of bids

          • @Paul B: Now you won't get more than $20 when eBay and fb marketplace gets flooded

            • @easternculture: How much do you want to wager on that?

              • -3

@Paul B: Don't have it. It's the first thing they teach you in economics

I remember when ps4 fortnight edition had the special fortnight pack. Sold just the fortnight pack for something like $300 so then cost of ps4 was like $50. Few days later, the ps4 gets posted on ozbargain as Amazon special and price on eBay for fortnight packs drops to $50 Max as everyone was trying to sell.

Lucky I was able to sell 2 packs. It was nice profit

                • @easternculture: Bzzzt I have bids more than the cost price with days remaining until auction ends and free subs

Loved this week's ABC Gruen take on their repetitive TV ads "Everyone's Hubbling🎶" featuring Hamish and Andy…
Gruen response - "No ones Hubbling"

      1. Aging B grade bogan millennial “celebrities” from ancient FM radio.
      2. Terrible song from the 2010s.
      3. Showing how “simple” it is for the old millennial who just can’t keep up with today’s technology.

They know their target audience. Dumb and old.

      • +6

You can come for LMFAO, you can come for crappy Murdoch hardware, but how dare you come for Hamish and Andy

        • Hamish & Andy are passe & cringe.

        • +1

They were never funny. Now they’re old, it’s just sad.

Had no idea who they were!
        What's FM radio?

Gruen pointed out the ad doesn't explain how it works…
Just "Everyone is Hubbling🎶" - ie don't miss out!

Can't see anyone would want it, based on that promotion.

Especially not older "technological illiterates". They'll be much happier with free TV!

Now where's the flamin remote? I've got TV to watch, sonny!

    • Haha, I was planning on watching it when I had a moment, now looking forward to it even more.

      • After the ad's "trademarked dancing" & music, you'll never be the same😜

    • Great episode. The opening segment on the creepy Woolies ad is gold.

Got the offer - take the cheap subs, ditch the box.

Don't give Murdoch any of your hard earned.

    • Murdoch will cry that 20 millions of jobs behind it including your prime minister.

Cashrewards is offering $50 cashback on a Hubbl at the moment.
That would make the Hubbl -$0.50 … which is about what it's worth.

    • +3

      Targeted offer ineligible for cashback.

They will be doing a fire sale of these things for $10 each before the year end.

  • if only you could add Plex on it…it would make a pretty sweet Kayo and FTA/catch up box for $50

  • Am i not looking right? Do not see anything about Kayo and also coming up as $99

    • It is targeted. Also, if you read the T&Cs that will explain the Kayo offer and who it applies to.

      • Ahh yes, I should practice what I preach, was a long night

  • When they start paying people to take these off their hands, let me know

  • Anyone got a link to share, please DM me. Keen to buy for the subs, tia

    • The Disney offer is on their homepage. If you use ShopBack to buy a device you should get $60 back and a voucher code for Disney within a few days.

If you want a Kayo offer you can get a free trial of Foxtel Now and Kayo, Binge and cancel. They might send out more of these offers to cancelled customers

Narrator: It turned out everyone was, in fact, not Hubbling

    • It is quite a claim in the ads that they are making
