Smartest Way to Buy Multiple New Samsung Devices?

My Flip5 phone crease has a black spot so it's days are numbered. I replaced my Flip3 with the same issue as it only gets worse.

With the new devices coming out, what is the smartest way to buy multiple things? Trade in, or wait for sales?

My earbuds only last a few hours now, my watch completely died six months ago.

I like the look of the projector for our bedroom ceiling.

Just wondering if anybody has experience with the best option for Samsung, as they seem to have a lot of convoluted sales and offers going from time to time.

As an aside, it's hard to believe I want so many things from one company.

Especially one who keeps selling you shitty products that fall apart quickly. But you do you

    • That was legit my first thought as I wrote that. For the watch and earbuds it's battery, phone it's the damn hinge.

They did replace the first flip under warranty to be fair.

I do see your point, though.

They sometimes have multi-buy promotions. E.g the Watch6 came with the S23 series https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/807258

Additional vouchers (loyalty) can be obtained quite easily during any sale, they are usually short expiry though so don't try to obtain them too far in advance. The Samsung app offers 5% off for first time purchases, but this only runs until the end of 2024.

Beware when trading in your phone as some people report issues with Asurion taking your money away even though you've traded in a working device in good faith. Keep a close eye on your credit card for unexpected Asurion charges up to 1 year after you have traded in a device.

Given it's a Flip 5 which is <1 year old, did you get any kind of screen coverage included? My Fold 5 came with one year of Care+ and I understand that Samsung Australia are pretty good with honouring folding screen repairs/replacements from reading forums.

To answer the broader question of how to buy multiple Samsung products, I think it depends what you're buying and what you're eligible for. For the phones there's usually great trade in deals from various stores at/near launch of new products as well as bonus offers (typically a freebie such as Buds or a watch), but for most other things I don't think there are specific collective deals. If eligible, try looking at Samsung's education or corporate stores where I've seen some pretty good deals over the years across their range… but as far as I know, there's generally no benefit of buying multiple products at once so you're better off buying when the item you want is at a good price either through Samsung's various stores, or through other retailers.

  • On my (daughters) flip 4 I had the screen/hinge replaced under warranty 3 times if I remember correctly. Since traded in on flip 5 which hasn't developed any issues but if it did I'd send it back for warranty straight away. The Samsung service center (Tecworks) here in Adelaide are actually amazing.

Just send Austriabargain into a store enough times until nobody notices it.

Why would you keep buying the same crap that is failing, especially the stupid flip phone?

    Don't.

Folding/bending screens break… who would have thought?

That aside, nothing wrong with being all in on one brand, typically integration works better between devices.
