    FYI, this is NOT a 3D projector. It's a 3LCD projector. I know, I have one.
Fantastic projector however. The best "value" full HD capable projector as reviewed by many people. Check out AVSforums there is literally hundreds of pages on their forum discussing it, settings, etc.
    Is it also discontinued…

Wow, you beat me by 25 seconds!

  • Good find. But I think it's 3LCD not 3D!

Nice find. As mentioned above, this was the last "value" Full HD projector before Epson started doing 3D with last year's TW5900, TW6000, TW6000W, TW8000 and TW9000W range. But "sells for about 2000AUD here" is a bit of a stretch! It was selling in Australia for $1,400 over a year ago and it's not too difficult to get a current model Epson with 3D and a local warranty for $2,000.

  • If you buy with 28 degrees car - save a further $40 due to a better rate.

  • I won't neg.
But beware if this has no Australian Warranty.

I got my Dad one of this series from USA.
Warranty did not cover it in Australia and
many of these projectors have internal dust blobs.

They are internal dust blobs and nearly impossible
to clean yourself without a "clean room".

If you are in USA and have USA warranty
they very nicely just send you a brand new replacement!

If you call the local Epson and say I bought
a projector from an Aussie site that has gone bust
and I have USA warranty, they laugh at you and say
    "Tuff".

  • I've got one of these.. two years ago paid $3k with a 100" screen, ceiling bracket and hdmi cable. Still going extremely well - it is an amazing unit for $2,000 something, and would be a brilliant unit at $1,000. Sure you could go 3D for another grand, but for a simple home theatre this would be more than adequate. I'm gonna give this a +ive vote as a real bargain.
