Wife loves our Miele, so well made. Been through a couple of Dysons and she said will never go back.

Bought the next model (MIELE S5211) for $327 from DJ few days ago
That's the model we have. From memory paid about $260 12-18 months ago and got a bunch of bags off eBay for cheap.
I got the S5781P for $445 from Bing Lee back in July 2011. No idea if it's a good deal or not though..

Got the best price online when it was last listed here then went into our local Retravision (no longer in business).
I also bought Miele S5211 last year. It was from Billy Guyatts online. I paid $267 + free shipping. It's a great vacuum cleaner. We've been through 2 vacuum cleaners before the Miele.
So what is the verdict on these ones? are they good? I have been thinking of getting the DC35 from harvey norman today - but this looks good as well!! Those who have these, would you recommend to get one?
Here's one under-recognised advantage of Mieles in general that makes me appreciate mine - they sit on castors rather than having two large back wheels like most vacs. So you can nudge them in any direction like a computer mouse, which makes things easier in tight spots like bedrooms. Most other vacs don't respond so gracefully to attempts to shove them sideways.
i can recommend you don't get the LG Kompressor.
