Its $320, and has a massive 2560x1440 resolution on an IPS screen. Thing is you will have to import through eBay.

  • Thanks Mate, I have no issues on importing from ebay. Do you have one?

    • I don't have one, though I know someone at work who does. Graphics and performance is stunning. I don't know which exact seller he bought from.

EDIT: Oh I should warn you — on board video cards might not support such a high resolution. You will need to check your video card hardware to see if it goes beyond 1080p.

Might also be interested in a few budget options from http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/shop/computer-it/monitors/…

  • You get what you pay for with Catleap.

Dead pixels, huge postage costs to return back overseas for repair/replacement and just simple minor defects happen.

Catleap is fine as long as you are ready for potential issues, for example paying $60+ to return your dead on arrival monitor back to the seller.

    • You can pay about $100 more to get one with zero dead pixel guarantee. Won't help with other potential problems though. And the Dell's equivalent is only about $570 at the moment, I think, so might want to consider that in case you want absolute perfection.

  • Dell's IPS Ultrasharp's have no equal, unless you get into professional territory with HP and NEC. Accept nothing less. Forget the slope Catleap one's, cheapo crap that belongs in the bin.

  • No use getting one of the Korean IPS monitors (like Catleap) for use with a laptop. You need a dual DVI output for them (don't know of any laptops with dual DVI out). Some also run on HDMI but not at the full resolution. For any proper suggestion for you, we need to know what monitor outputs you have available on your laptop.

  • Says otherwise here:

There are situations where the graphics card won't output 2560x1440 but will do 2560x1600 through hdmi and where they do work as well.

Have a read to figure out what the deciding factor was.

  • laptop has hdmi out and vga - it will not support 2560x1440 :-(

    External resolution / refresh rates6:
    VGA port up to 2048 x 1536: 85 Hz
    HDMI™ port up to 1920 x 1080: 60 Hz

also this will probably be used on a new mac mini 2012

  • Thanks for all the info guys… I`ll be researching each option. any deals ? my budget is up to $600 but savings is always good.

  • There was also another brand 27" IPS 2560x1440

Tilt, swivel and Height adjust added and a little cheaper($299), so you could get 2.

Google a bit on 'mac mini 2012 2560x1440' and you'll probably find what your looking for.
