First post.
I was looking to buy a PS3, and tried to buy it during the Amazon's Black friday sale, but the site wouldn't allow shipping to Australia. The price was only $199 with Assassin's Creed bundle. But I think the hard drive was only 120GB though.

Today, it is for $259. It's not an amazing bargain, but it is cheaper than retailers here.
PS3 250GB Uncharted 3: Game of the Year Bundle : AUD 258.96

Shipping & Handling(for postcode 2000):
AmazonGlobal Expedited Shipping (averages 8-16 business days): AUD 15.92
AmazonGlobal Priority Shipping —get it Thursday, December 6 : AUD 24.89

Kogan: $299 for console only(without games) but 500GBhard drive.

I store most of my contents in NAS, so hard drive size is not a big factor for me.

Looked like a decent deal, so posted. Criticism welcome with better deal/options :)

  • Price is fine, but it doesn't play Region B Blue ray though.

      as I prefer using my ps3 as my blu ray player, I find having a US ps3 as well as a AU ps3 a real treat, so you can get the best blu ray deal no matter what.

        Wouldn't a region free blu-ray player be cheaper? Toshiba's can be had for close to $100 on sale.

        • Yeah and good luck finding one in stores, they're discontinued now.

      • you don't have to get 2 PS3, you can find a 2011 model, and downgrade it to 3.55, then it can play region free everything with homebrew.

        • But you can't downgrade the PS3 firmware.

          Careful mate, you don't want to upset voldermort with bad news.

        • but you can if you don't mind spending $100 on a eflasher.

  • title is so trippy. I thought it was $16…

  • Will you need a voltage converter or something to use it in Australia?
