greenpossum on 14/12/2012 - 11:29 ¶Hey why neg Neil? It's human to forget. That's why we have machines to remind us of more than we'd like to know.
+3 votesgreenpossum on 14/12/2012 - 11:39 ¶Yeah, I have complained about the proximity of the two buttons several times. Especially on mobile devices.
+3 votesplasmapuff on 14/12/2012 - 10:44 ¶You can cancel straight away after signing up. Still lasts for 30 days :)
Do it now to avoid getting in trouble later.
+1 voteThanks! Cancelled it straight away and get this message:
You've cancelled your Skype Premium with Unlimited World subscription. You can continue to make calls until it expires on January 14, 2013.
No further payments will be taken unless you reactivate this subscription.
+1 voteBloodSail Admiral on 14/12/2012 - 14:36 ¶Neil should put this info in the description , Thanks plasmapuff .
greenpossum on 14/12/2012 - 10:56 ¶A quick web search shows that apparently not. However many companies list a number "you can call from overseas" which is a regular local number. That's what I used.
greenpossum on 14/12/2012 - 11:33 ¶without the Internet your f* !
You mean you don't get withdrawal symptoms when you have been away from the Net for more than 10 minutes? ;)
-1 voteFrom what I understand you don't need an internet connection to make a skype call, just set up a "Skype To Go" number for the person you want to call, that will allow you to call any phone in the world by dialing a local phone number, so from your landline it's a local call cost, and from your mobile it's free if you have free minutes on a plan.
-1 vote*When calling a Skype To Go number, local operator charges may apply.
So you pay a call connection fee + call costs + Skype Credit… ?, people must be BONKERS ?! LOL
from your mobile it's free if you have free minutes on a plan.
So you pay for a Plan + utilize free minutes + Skype credit…. ? Waste is it not ?
Keep it simple people, get a low cost International calling Sim card for voice calls !

shuiwutiancao on 14/12/2012 - 12:01 ¶anyone help? what should i do next? as i got the following msg:
You'll love Skype Premium
We're making a few final touches to make sure it's perfect - it won't take too long but you can take a look at your account page to see how we're doing. Once you'rewhat good to go, we'll send a quick confirmation email to ***
I got into my account. it shows i have no subscriptions and $0 credit…
greenpossum on 14/12/2012 - 12:04 ¶Check your subscription status later? You won't have any credit showing (if you never bought any), but when you make the free calls they will show as "covered by subscription".

kangaberries on 14/12/2012 - 12:13 ¶Awesome Deal Neil!
Like he said sign up and it takes like 5 minutes to confirm then cancel straight away and you're all set.
It is so weird that my account is not eligible for last offer and even this one.
"Oops - it looks like this trial has either expired or isn’t available for this Skype Name. Please ensure you’ve signed in with the Skype Name the free trial was sent to."
This account was registered for some years ago right away Skype established.
My wife's new account works like a charm anyway.
Any suggestion? Thanks!
shuiwutiancao on 14/12/2012 - 12:24 ¶ok i'm new to this, but when i tried to call my mobile, it failed and jumped out a window:
u need skpye credit or a subscription to call landlines and mobiles from skpye….
i did check my subscription and its active now…
Australian mobiles are not covered. You will need credit to pay for that call.

+1 voteterahammer on 14/12/2012 - 12:50 ¶u just answered your own question since you got that from the official site?
plasmapuff on 14/12/2012 - 13:42 ¶IS this only from the PC application?
Trying it on the skype android app and the calls arent going through.
Any ideas?
plasmapuff on 14/12/2012 - 15:20 ¶Hmm do you need an actual skype number to make non-skype to skype calls (eg to landlines).
All I have is a skype account on my android but when I go to dial the ring tone dies after 5 seconds and it never connects… :(
Also notice that on the app it says I have no credit ($0). Do i need credit for this premium thing to take effect?
plasmapuff on 14/12/2012 - 16:49 ¶Sorted. Forgot the area code lol as it's not programmed into my contacts.
BloodSail Admiral on 14/12/2012 - 14:29 ¶Neil, a big thanks from me, i was thinking to buy but you have saved me . Hope we get more good deals from you in future.

freakitude on 14/12/2012 - 14:40 ¶for ones paying through PayPal you can cancel the recurring payment by clicking on
profile button>>my money>> pre-approved payments>> cancel button

greenpossum on 14/12/2012 - 16:59 ¶I looked for it but all they wrote was limited signups or something like that. So, whenever they like.
sue4everbless on 16/12/2012 - 00:39 ¶SOS!! Just signed up but only got the 7 days trial instead of 1 month trial.
Any idea where I have done wrongly.
Tried to call the international landline but message appeared that I have no Skype Credit allocated.
Thanks and hoping someone can help me.
sue4everbless on 16/12/2012 - 23:25 ¶Premium account
AU$0.00When I click on the Premium account
it appeared:free trial is active expires December 22 2012
Which is only 7 days trial period instead of 30 days
Tried to call Singapore and Malaysia.
How do I cancel the 7 days trial period?
Thanks.
+1 voteYou can cancel your trial if you login to your account. Try this link. No idea how you got a 7 day trial as I can't even see that option on the Skype page. Try canceling your trial and sign up for the 30 day trial. The 30 day deal is now featured on Skype's homepage.
sue4everbless on 17/12/2012 - 17:58 ¶Thanks for your help.
I tried to cancel the 7 day trial period but could not find anywhere in the page that I can cancel. Maybe because in my account appeared as below, 'no subscription'Premium account
Au$0.00
No SubscriptionI got the 7 day trial period from the selection that appeared on the right hand side of the page. Might have open the account in the wrong link.
Anyway, I could not make calls to the land line because my account has no credit or subscription.
I think, I have to wait for the 7 day trial period to expires.
Thanks once again for your time.
sue4everbless on 18/12/2012 - 16:42 ¶Hi Neil, thanks for taking the time to help me, but I am still in SOS! mode.
I could not see anywhere on the premium account that I can cancel it (Tried this earlier before, I posted all these SOS help). I also could not find how I can contact them. Tried the live chat, nothing appeared. Is there any other way that I can contact them. Very frustrated and it's a mistake that I got into it!
Thanks very much for all the time to help me.
Sounds like there is something wrong with your browser/computer. Try using Google Chrome or try another computer. The live chat for Skype and the cancel button are there but seems like maybe your browser isn't working properly.
sue4everbless on 18/12/2012 - 21:33 ¶I managed to email them. Finally, after 6 emails, one of the smart representative email me the live chat link. The live chat service was fantastic. It seems that there is no recurring payment on my account and I have to wait for the 7 days trial to expire as they cannot cancel it.
Thanks Neil for all your help too. You really go all the way to help those who are helpless. Much appreciated.

You can use this offer if you signed up for the previous trials. Did you go to the right link? It's Skype Premium with Unlimited World not Unlimited World. I just tried it on my secondary:
Skype Premium with Unlimited World, 1 month
AU$ 9.99
30 day free trial
AU$ -9.99
0% VAT AU$ 0.00
Total AU$ 0.00

greenpossum on 07/01/2013 - 18:26 ¶Just a heads up for those who signed up back on 14th December and only wanted a month free service: the renewal is coming up soon so cancel your subscription if you haven't done so already. You can do it from the Paypal end or the Skype end.

Nice. I signed up using Paypal the last time and cancelled the recurring payment on Paypal 3 weeks later which automatically cancelled my subscription, though I could have done it at the Skype end also.
