I've been on a market for a Medela breast pump recently and found that US Toys R Us now does shipping to Australia. They sell it for the same price as Amazon.com where Amazon does not ship this items internationally.

did you check eBay? I buy a few things from US and I found eBay is the only place to find the exact right plug size/amps/volts.
This model also works on 8 AA batteries. Guess I am going to need some good charger and a lot of eneloops.
Well, this model it's designed to be portable hence the backpack, so you'd probably be using batteries anyway.
I bought "Medela FreeStyle" from Amazon. It is a bit more expensive but it can be used at 220v since it is meant for travelling. Also it comes with rechargeable battery which lasts for at least 3-4 uses per recharge. Check out if Toysrus sells the freestyle model.
before pulling the trigger, you should know that the US version comes with 110v power adapter which doesn't work here.
Medela AU sells replacement 220v locally, but they go for ~AU$80 each
we bought a different model from the US but couldn't find a 220v adapter with the same Amp locally
ended up using AA batteries for our one
not sure if this model takes batteries
