        I thought I read somewhere that you could use white vinegar?
        rather than the Phillips solution making it a bit cheaper

      Good article here which says for this type of shaver, the jet clean, while good, is unnecessary.

      I have the Clean & Renew system for a Braun 790 which I use on every 4th or 5th shave. In between shaves I replace the lid in the cartridge so the solution doesn't evaporate.

      I'm interested in the 1250 so I can shave in the shower, which I think is the major difference between the models.

      A can of alcoholic spray will set you back $16 at a shaver shop in Australia… So the cleaning system will suit you if you like it as clean as you can get.

    I had a philips electric shaver, never liked it. My skin is sensitive i guess, never got used to it. Nice deal tough.

      The blades cost $100 in Australia and $60 including shipping from America. Recommended to replace every year. Thought you should know

    I have had mine for just ovet a month now and find it fairly useless at shaving. I have tried cream/ water and dry and the results are the same. I find my homebrand razors are so much easier.

      Retail packaging (as in store with plastic may need scissors to open) vs frustration free packaging (brown box easy to get your item out. Items are identical apart from packaging.
